We arrived in Crickhowell on a early Sunday evening, and having been to the Bear for dinner previously were hoping they would be open for dinner. They were, and we, and all the other diners of which their were many (the place was heaving) had made the right choice, we indulged in dinner (mostly the Welsh Lamb shanks) which were fabulous, beautifully cooked, with meat falling off the bone, accompanied with fresh vegetables and mash, all perfectly cooked and piping hot. And pudding was just too good to resist, we all had different things, Tiramisu, Carrot cake, Chocolate Brownie and Clotted Cream Rice pudding, and shared tastes around the table. Feeling properly full and very happy, we left but will definitely return.
