We really enjoy the Friday buffet at the Kopper Kettle. It includes both Mennonite and Chinese dishes, which may sound strange but it works. For $13.95, you get all you can eat buffet, including a small salad bar, homemade soup, beverage and dessert. The restaurant is not large or fancy but the food is good. We have been know to eat there as often as once a week. The regular menu is also varied and the food is good.

Kopper Kettle isn't flashy (though the decor has improved noticeably since I last went 5 years ago), but it is a cozy restaurant with cozy food. They have decent versions of your standard restaurant fare, but what I like best are the great Mennonite soups and veraniki (cottage-cheese perogies with cream gravy) - very authentic, if you're wanting to sample the cuisine of the locals. For dessert, stick with the Mennonite theme and try a Rollie Sundae, which features a couple of rollkuchen, which are basically a light, fluffy fritters. They are normally eaten with watermelon, but in this dish it is topped with ice cream instead.

Simple, down-home style cooking with a strong Mennonite flare.

Service a bit austere, almost school-marmish. A great place to stop when you're tired of the usual characterless fast-food offerings along the highways and byways most travelled.

Food was terrible!!!! My son got food poisoning! My husband ordered the Reuben sandwich and my son ordered Nachos. The Reuben sandwich was just a sauerkraut sandwich and the nachos were covered with fake cheese. We will not go to this restaurant again, will by pass Morden and go to Winkler next time.
