Extremely warm and friendly staff always willing to go the extra distance, to make our stay enjoyable. The property being typical Quebec style, is clean and fresh with a very nice dining room, an indoor sauna, outdoor hot tub, well equipped rooms, and our host is a real chef. No format food here, even a gourmet breakfast included. A wonderful stay and ski at Le Massif.

We stayed here for five nights while we skied various mountains in the Charlevoix region. Our room was large, very modern and well appointed. It included a gas fireplace and a large bathtub, perfect for soaking tired muscles after a day on the slopes. On our first morning, we were delighted to discover that Regis, the proprietor and head Chef, prepares a selection of fresh hot breakfasts to order. They are, in a word, outstanding and I've not enjoyed the same quality of food or skill of preparation at hotels costing many times more than l'estampilles.

With great skiing bookended by l'estampilles excellent breakfasts and warming up by our in-room fireplace each evening, this was the perfect place to escape the stresses of life. Highly recommended.

Secretly - I am afraid to post anything in case more people find this diamond in the rough (and when we want to book next time - they are too busy!). That being said...here it goes...

We booked at L'estampilles over Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and boxing day - we had never been to Baie St. Paul and were looking for somewhere were we could escape the family stress of the holidays while enjoying some fantastic skiing - this was absolutely the perfect place. Exactly what we were looking for!

Due to the holidays we virtually had the place to ourselves (including the hot tub and sauna). Regis was very attentive and helpful (even making reservations for us in town for Christmas Eve and Christmas night - which I assumed would be difficult). The attention we received was outstanding...In fact, on boxing day he even served us breakfast in bed (the breakfasts far exceeded our expectations).

The rooms were lovely, authentic and incredibly comfortable. It was the escape we were looking for (one day we even stayed in bed all morning with a fire lit - enjoying the feeling of not having to be somewhere!)

Easily a 20 min drive to Le Massif (and a 5min drive to town) it is conveniently located.

Unfortunately for us the restaurant wasn't open until dec 27th but we look forward to another visit next ski season. I should point out that in previous years we have typically stayed at Ste Anne - our experience in Baie St. Paul has definitely changed those well laid plans for future years.

This is a lovely B&B with welcoming hospitality. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Be sure to notice the detailed tile work in the bathrooms. The breakfast/dining rooms are beautifully built with great attention to details. Breakfast was lovely with several choices freshly prepared. The very best part is the hardworking host! We had driven most of the day and arrived on a day when his restaurant was closed. He suggested a restaurant in town but I said I didn't want to drive more. He graciously went to the kitchen and prepared a lovely tapas plate with a glass of wonderful local wine! What a thoughtful thing for him to do!!!!!!!!! Don't miss the wonderful galleries in this beautiful area and stay at this very special B&B.

Only by chance myself and partner we came across this jewel in the crown on our travels and having stayed in some of the Best places (5 star) we were not in the slightest disappointed. We like to think that myself and partner are well seasoned "Foodies" if that's correct ....L'estampilles gets our Gold award for its outstanding food and service. We had asked to speak personally with the Chef or owner something that we would never normally request, however as we could see it was a busy night and every guest was probably assuming the same "call Michelin" as this is almost certainly a justifiably 1 star eatery, we will be recommending and most certainly will return.

We arrived without reservation and were instantly made feel warmly welcome! Although it was rather late in the evening and the restaurant was already closed, we got fresh sandwiches to our room and the staff even found bubble bath for our kids. Such a great service, we went back the same evening - and got even more beautiful room with a fantastic view.

Breakfast was uniquely made and served and we also enjoyed the hot tub before we had to leave. Definitely looking for any excuse to go back! Highly recommend this fantastic place to everyone - even the toughest food critics will enjoy the food - Regis is a true professional both in kitchen and with customer service!

This place is set up to cater to large groups. From the owner/operator's blank stare while trying to remember whether we were her guests to the disappointing menu options at the beginning of the week, this place has hotel cash operation written all over it. At this price range, you're better off at any regular hotel chain where you're treated as another guest, without the pretence of being a B&B. The room was good with a good bed but other than that, this place doesn't have much going for it, unless you want to drive 500 hundred miles to get into a cheesy jacuzzi or take a sauna...
