We were the first guests for the new hosts Maatin and Natalie and wish our schedule would have permitted a longet stay. The food and facilities were superb and our limited French and their limited English made for a very enjoyable and fun stay. We would have no hesitation in recommending the L'estampilles and you will enjoy the experience.

Thank Bob B

We were staying at this excellent Inn, and were able to dine twice in the restaurant. Both meals were very memorable - really gourmet at a reasonable price. Regis, the Chef, uses local produce, meats and cheeses so that you get to sample the best that this Charlevoix region has to offer. One night our meal was a local cheese wrapped in proscuitto and baked over greens, followed by some smoked salmon (Regis does his own smoking), then local duck breast (delicious, lean and tender and cut into filet-like rounds). The presentation of each dish is also colourful and imaginative. For dessert - profiteroles! Wow, we were really pleased with the quality of this dinner. If it is not too busy, Regis will come out of the kitchen to chat and see how you like the food, which is a nice touch.
If you are in the Baie St. Paul area, it is well worth booking a meal (or even better, staying at the Inn) as it is the best value and quality around.
Thanks Regis for all your delicious food, including those sandwiches you made us for the plane - yummy!

as we are staying in the auberge for a few days we decide to take advantage of the Holiday celebration menu that Regis is offering. Great idea! each of the 4 plates including exceptional desert were outstanding and tasty. it is clear that Regis has a great training and background and this is really a chance to have him in the region. The only recommendation I have is "go" and enjoy and we did.

We had a wonderful meal here New Years Eve, 2013. In addition to our bottle of Bordeaux, we couldn't resist sampling the local maple and tomato wines. If you've not had tomato wine, treat yourself and try it. I'd recommend these to anyone. The migneron was delightful. The mousse filled with ice cream was one of the best deserts I've had. I could have eaten 3. Outstanding!

Having been one of the first to post a review of this restaurant, I was surprised at the last review, very negative. I see Regis responded...and quite appropriately! We had nothing but the best evening. Danielle, our hostess, sat us promptly, and was a pleasure all evening. The food was wonderful. My fish was fresh and flavorful and my wife enjoyed her chicken. The pork cheek appy was also really good. And the desserts, served by Regis himself, were amazing. He spent a few minutes telling us about himself and the restaurant. He is a quality chef and we wish I'm all the best! Can't wait to return next year.
