The museum has a select few moai, one a female of curious form, one a male with intricate ears. More importantly exhibits include a case of the weapons, a case of the carving devices and other associated displays.

Interesting artifacts, the huge ocean map is unusual and puts the location of the island in perspective, they have different language booklets if your Spanish is lacking, very good introduction to the local history, try to visit before going off on your own to explore.

The Museum is quite small (you can easily visit it in one hour) but nonetheless is very informative. You will learn not only about the history on the Isle, but also on its geology and the local fauna.
The ticket is very good valued.

We were fortunate to be directed here on our first day. You get so much information that makes your island tours much more meaningful. You can easily take in valuable history in about an hour or so.

Nice little museum with good artifacts. All signage is in Spanish, but they have typed museum guides in different languages. It takes about 30 minutes to go thru the museum.
