Where to even begin with Lalati? My husband and I just recently spent 10 amazing days at Lalati for our Honeymoon and could go on for DAYS about this fantastic resort. First and foremost, the staff is what makes this smaller, intimate resort what it is. The food is also far more than what we had expected. Everything was always so fresh and delicious, not one meal disappointed us.

Sue and Mark are not only extremely nice, but always willing to go that extra mile for anything you might need. The resort staff are all from the local village and are probably the nicest people I have ever met in my life. They remembered our names within a day, always yelled "BULA" when they passed us within the resort, and just made our stay so special.

Sabine and Josiah are beyond amazing when it comes to your diving experience at the resort. My husband had just recently received his diving certification but I didn't have time prior to our wedding. I decided to do the Discovery Dive and Josiah took me out. WHAT AN EXPERIENCE!!! Not only did he make me feel extremely comfortable and safe, he was constantly pointing out all the different fish, coral and sea creatures once we made our way down the Pinnacle.

What an amazing experience at this perfect, quaint resort. From the local village visits, waterfall hike, amazing snorkeling, happy-hour trivia and the overall relaxation, we could not have asked for anything more. We arrived at the resort as new guests and left as friends, not only with other guests but with the staff as well. This was a trip of a lifetime and the most perfect honeymoon I could have ever dreamed of. Thank you Lalati!

Room Tip: The oceanfront villas are the way to go.

We recently spent a heavenly week at Lalati Resort to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. I have never experienced a place quite like this, and I hope I am lucky enough to go back some day. There is such a welcoming feel to Lalati, and an environment that encourages a real sense of community. We made great friends at Lalati, and have kept in touch with some of them. Sue and the staff at Lalati were great, and did everything and then some to make sure we were comfortable. We did 5 days of diving with Josiah and Sabine, and it was fantastic. I hadn't done much diving in recent years and Sabine really helped me get more comfortable with it. The seaview cottage that we were in wasn't fancy, but it had everything we needed, and I still have lovely memories of the curtains wafting through the room as a gentle breeze blew through each night. Our visit into Lalati Villiage was wonderful, and it was great to meet some of the local people. I have nothing but great things to say about this very special place!

WOW - what a lovely thing to say. While we at Lalati Resort feel like we are unique, it's so wonderful to hear that you felt the same. Nothing makes us more pleased than knowing your time spent with us was an experience of a lifetime, and an anniversary to remember. Staff works hard to fulfil requests, both big and small. And we all feel it's not work, but a privilege, to share special moments with new, special friends. VINAKA for your thoughts and words!

This is NOT the Four Seasons. It is a boutique property with few rooms and very few people. If you want a disco and a midnight room service menu you will be disapointed. Lalati IS a comfortable, natural accommodation in a pristine location. The staff are friendly and very good at making you feel welcome. Like all of the other Fijians we met during our trip they were full of smiles and happy to see you. The rooms are spacious and well appointed, comfortable beds and local decor. The meals are very nice, good quantity and very good quality. Meals are served on a set schedule, but this makes a for an opportunity to get to know the staff and the other guests, we met really great people and had lots of fun telling each other about the days adventures over dinner and drinks. The dive operation is small, (just 3 or 4 divers on the boat) the service is very personal and we always felt safe and well looked after. Sabine has become my wifes favorite guide ever. This review would not be complete without thanking Sue and all your staff for making our vacation a truly beautiful experience.

THANK YOU for sharing with Trip Advisor your thoughts about your dive holiday at Lalati Resort & Spa. We are truly grateful to our wonderful guests, who take time out of their busy schedules to share views on Trip Advisor. You are spot on - we are not a large chain hotel, but a small and intimate boutique resort with a personal, Fijian family style atmosphere. So glad you loved the amazing diving in Beqa Lagoon, and our incredible staff, who constantly seek to treat our guests to wonderful Fijian style experiences. VINAKA for sharing your vacation time with us!

First of all let me thank Sue and all your staff for making our dive trip a wonderful experience, I have taken groups all over the South Pacific and you and your team are up there with the best. Unfortunately we missed out of the Shark dive due to weather but hey that's diving. Our group were very sad to leave just a fantastic place. The food was exceptional with plenty of variety to chose from and the cocktails were a delight well done. I would highly recommend this place to anyone that wanted peace and tranquility. This place is a treasure and we have already booked to return next year. Anyone that complains about this place really needs to GET A LIFE.

Room Tip: The Ocean View rooms have a great lookout of the Lagoon and the Sunrise

This was our second trip to Fiji but our first time at Lalati. Wow! We had a great time. The service was outstanding and very personalized. If we wanted to participate in an activity, there were no "mimimum number required" as is common at many resorts. We were greated by singing on the dock (you do not have to wade ashore), given a flower necklace and a coconut drink upon arrival. We impressed from day one. The food was great and the staff very willing to accomidate my speacil ditary needs. Diving with Sabine and Josiah was phenominal. There were never more than three other divers on the boat. Dive sites and visablity were great. I saw sharks nearly every dive and loved the variety of fish and marine life observed. Water temp was 81-82. I just dove in my swim trunks and a t-shirt. Nitrox was availible and generally ran from 31-34% O2. Dive boats are smaller but much faster than most and getting to dive sites near or far was no problem. The only negatives was not having potable water in our rooms for taking meds or brushing our teeth and too many mosquitos to make relaxing in our hammock enjoyable for any lenght of time. We would highly reccomend this resort to any one looking for an special experience in Fiji.

Thank you for your review, and glad you were able to see the many sights and experience all that Fiji and Lalati Resort & Spa has to offer - both above and below the shores.

The water in the villas are perfectly fine for showering, and brushing your teeth. It is not "non potable" - it is pure rainwater. But because it isn't triple filtered like the water available in the main building, we recommend you drink only the water that we can guarantee in the main bure. Hopefully the resort staff told you that they will always supply you with a carafe to take to your room with you.

Glad you enjoyed the diving and that the staff treated you as the VIPs all our guests are. We look forward to seeing you at Lalati again soon!

WOW! Where to start. Husband and I came here for our honeymoon start of March for 6 nights and we didnt want to leave.
This isnt a huge resort and i hope it never becomes one. The charm and atmosphere of the place is perfect. Its the place to come to if you want quiet, relaxing and picture perfect.
The staff were INCREDIBLE! Never before have i stayed somewhere and be treated like I was royalty. Anything you need, they will do. We wanted a day trip into town for a day so we went to the activities hut.. A few hours later they came back and said everything is planned and heres some places to check out.
All the staff seem to know who you are after just being there for a few hours.. by happyhour on our second night (happy hour happens everyday so dont worry) the bar staff knew my drink, even if I hadnt met them yet.
Food- oh.. my.. GOD! The meals are specific to set times during the day and choice isn't huge but it doesnt matter.. you wont go hungry, at all. I dont know who their cook is but they are amazing.
We stayed in the beachfront honeymoon villa and it was amazinggggggg. Just what we wanted. Romantic, intimate and beautiful. The view was beautiful and listening to the water wash onto the shore was so relaxing.
There are plenty of activities to do and the staff always seem to be there when you need them, or even when you don't which is nice, you really dont have to lift a finger. The snorkeling is stunning and theres lots to look at.

I cant fault the place, from start to end its just the perfect place to come, listen to the peaceful sounds and learn what 'fiji time' really means.

Thanks you Lalati for the incredible honeymoon.

Room Tip: Beachfront honeymoon villa is the place to be!

WOW - I love that you called us perfect! That is amazing and the kind of review that makes all of us - owners, managers and staff - know that all the effort and hard work we put into our jobs is worth it.

So happy that you enjoyed your getaway at Lalati Resort & Spa. The Beachfront Honeymoon Suite is of course the best room ever - the private courtyard, Jacuzzi, shower ... most people say they could live there and never leave.

Do come back and visit us again for a special occasion or just a needed hideaway from the rest of the world. We'll be here!

This was my sixth trip to Fiji and suffice to say that we will return next year and we will choose Lalati Resort!
We were the first couple to stay in one of the newly opened Honeymoon suites on the beach. What a great job of making a comfortable resort "home" for our 13 days, relaxing and modern decor, complete with outdoor shower in a private courtyard. Bed was one of the best I have ever slept in too! The hammock and verandah were great spots to sit and watch the water and change of colours on the jungle across the water.
The management team of Sue, Mark, Sabine and Josiah were remarkable in their ability to be efficient, friendly, great company all day and all night it seemed. When do they sleep we wonder??? They have a great crew of staff that can never do enough for you.
Take advantage of the private beach picnic and the tours to the village, school and church service to experience the Fijiians in their own culture.
Our wonderful and memorable stay on Lalati ended with an exquisite view of dozens of dolphins playing with our boat on our return to the mainland. Of course without hesitating, our captain detoured for some time to give us the best experience and Sabine jumped up on the foredeck with our cameras to catch some amazing shots.
I could keep on with my recommendations but will leave it at .....just go!!!
Thanks to all at Lalati and we will see you soon. Rolf and Kim

Room Tip: On the beach front for sure.

We hope to see you back, soon, as well!

Happy that you "broke in" our brand new Premier Deluxe Honeymoon Villas. I, too, love the modern take on Fijian architecture - so pure and clean, and the wall to wall window looking out at the sea makes for such a peaceful retreat.

We're thrilled that you got a dual holiday - one where you spent needed "hammock time" and mixed it up with some adventures as well. And it's nice that our wonderful spinner dolphins gave you a farewell on your way to "civilization."

We know how busy your lives are, and are so grateful you shared 2 weeks with us, and shared your experiences on Trip Advisor. VINAKA VAKA LEVU and do come back soon!
