After much research, my husband and I chose Lalati for a six night holiday at the end of June. From the moment we set foot on the jetty we fell in love with the resort. We stayed in the beachfront honeymoon suite which was amazing! I highly recommend this room - sipping champagne in your outdoor spa while overlooking the ocean is so special.
We were the only non-honeymooners and non-divers throughout our stay. We were asked by another guest 'What on earth do you do all day if you don't dive?'. There are loads of activities to choose from. My highlights were learning to snorkel (thanks Chubby!) and definitely the Soliyaga Village/fire walking tour - I will remember that afternoon for the rest if my life. The spa was great too - thanks to Mary and Qoli. Lalati is also a great place to just relax and unwind if you don't feel like doing anything.
I could not fault the food throughout our stay. Everything was fresh and really tasty. We also enjoyed a romantic jetty dinner which was really special.
The most special part of Lalati is definitely the staff. Mark, Sue, Josiah, Sabine, Sela, Qoli, Mary, Freddy, Chubby and the rest of the staff are amazing. They make the resort five star.
We can't wait to return and enjoy the Lalati magic.

We were looking for a romantic beach venue that would provide a wedding ceremony package. Looked at highly recommended Lalati Resort and Spa in Fiji on the island of Beqa. For the very special occasion of getting married we described what we envisioned, what we required, and was reassured that Lalati was the best fit. We wanted a 4 to 5 star rating, big beach with blue water and splashing waves. After looking over Lalati's website I asked travel agent several questions. How fitting it was for our beach wedding. Of course all of his replies were very positive, and he even forwarded an email from an owner of Lalati Resort saying how air conditioning wasn't necessary since the climate is very sufficient. Agent said he had visited the resort himself. Turns out the resort is a scuba dive camp with port-a-can type bathrooms. Rain water supply, dirt walkways, KOA type pool, dirty accommodations. Muddy shoreline, no waves. Good wedding due to manager's ability. Romantic it is not!!! There is nothing romantic about have a fancied up port-a-can with flies next to your bed. Nothing romantic about a man made beach, boat dock with a dinner table, or muddy banks. We had to cut our honeymoon short because we were so unhappy with the accommodations and the whole situation. This is totally unbelievable and unacceptable. We feel we were sold a big package of lies and want our money back. Lalati is no way a 4 star resort much less a 5 star!!!

Room Tip: The room we were in was the beach front villa and was filthy and rotten.

We traveled for 10 days to Lalati and had a wonderful time. We dove with them and had great diving. The divemasters were absolutely wonderful. Nilla the dive dog was an excellent addition to our stay! The staff were incredibly warm and friendly. The food was amazing. We arrived as visitors and felt like we left as family.

Lalati is a wonderful resort. We stayed for 10 days and participated in snorkeling, scuba diving, jet ski tour, a sunset cruise and kava ceremony just to name a few. But the most impressive part of the resort was by far the staff. All such friendly, helpful and warm people who will remember your name and go out of their way to make your stay perfect. Aside from this the facilities are maintained daily, rooms serviced daily, meals were delicious and the bar stocked! We stayed in a honeymoon villa which was spacious, clean, open and modern with a hammock on the porch to boot! Would absolutely recommend Lalati for a quiet getaway with plenty to do whilst there if you please. Thank you Mark, Vanessa, Josiah, Sabine and the wonderful team, had such an amazing time!

How happy we all are that you had such a great time at Lalati Resort & Spa! Our managers had forwarded pictures of your arrival - by helicopter landing right on the beach at Lalati! That's a first for us. I'm glad it was all good from start to finish.

It's wonderful that you summed up the whole Lalati experience - total relaxation, unless you want a bit of adventure, and that's available too. Our staff just loves getting to know "new friends" and hold a little bit of each guest into their warm, open hearts. We are glad that you enjoyed their awesome hospitality as well.

Do come back for another visit - we love to Wow our returning friends!

Managed to get a week off work and sneak up to Fiji for a break so we went to Lalati resort. The snorkelling was amazing and the diving even better with nothing been a problem. The instructor was excellent with my
Girlfriend who was new to diving and had her on the reef in no time. The gardens are beautiful and the food is excellent far better than we expected
For Fiji. The staff are really what makes it so nice there though.

We went there with Perth Diving Academy for a 8 day diving holiday. The accommodation was great - well positioned with great views. The staff were fantastic and very quickly remembered all our party of 15 names and made you feel at home. The food was top quality with a good range throughout the week. The diving instructors consisting of dive masters Josiah, Luke, Mark and Sabine took us to great places including the Shark feeding dive which definitely should be on ones' bucket list. All in all it was a fantastic place - taking care off all our needs, exceeding our expectations and leaving us with fond memories.

My wife and I had planned a three week wedding/honeymoon trip to Fiji and it all began at Lalati. We spent five amazing nights here! From our dream wedding ceremony to my wife getting her diving certification to feeling like part of the island family after the first day, I can't even begin to describe how special this place is to us. Mark and Sue made sure we had everything we needed and because it was just the two of us for our wedding even were our witnesses. The entire staff made us feel welcome from the minute we stepped off the boat. Josiah and Sabine are amazing, diving with them as part of the Blue Starfish Dive Center was fantastic. I had communicated over email with Sabine several months prior to our trip and all the details were perfect. We ended up diving six times with them and it was very great experience. The resort is beautiful and our honeymoon villa was fabulous. The food was delicious as well. It was very hard to leave, we have made some great friends from around the world while we here and the return trip is already in the works!
