Posada Bequeve
Certificate of Excellence

Los Roques is a paradise on earth, probably the most amazing place I've ever been, but this experience can be optimized by staying in Posada Bequeve, this posada goes beyond excellence, to start I have to mention that the architecture of Bequeve is unique in Los Roques, this beautiful beach house has tall wooden roofs and amazing rooms like no other in Los Roques, the incredible staff is always ready to serve their clients with a huge smile and courtesy, Ms. Carmen (Chef), her daughter Luz and John Davis are incredible people who will always make your day an excellent one, they will do whatever it takes to please you. You will go everyday to an amazing beach, to get to the beach you need a boat... Bequeve's boat is the fastest of Los Roques, comfortable, roomy and safe; this beach trips are included when you book with Bequeve. The food...... The food.... I have stayed in other places in Los Roques before, I ate sandwiches at the beach and pasta... but in Bequeve you will eat Gourmet and you wont starve, the food quantities are humongous .. The breakfast is typical of Venezuela it includes the delicious and famous arepas, fruits, scrambled eggs, ham, cheese, unique juices and as I said you can repeat over and over; You will be at the beach when its time for lunch, John Davis will bring and serve you your food and it will never be a simple sandwich, it will be fresh fish (in different presentations), rice, plantains, salad, a full plate, and dinner.... is not just the quality and quantities of the food is the creative spirit of Ms. Maria (Chef) who will surprise you every night with her amazing dishes and desserts... I could talk hours of Bequeve, but believe me you won't regret, excellent neat rooms with A/C and private bathrooms, excellent location and boat, and the best staff and food in the whole island. Enjoy!

This elegant Fruto Vivas-designed posada in Gran Roque proved a great base for exploring Los Roques. Chief among its plusses is the charm of the staff and Doña Carmen's amazing comida criolla, which included perhaps the best lobster we have ever had, superb breakfasts, consistently exquisite dinners and terrific lunches delivered to the beach. Tony and all the staff make you feel at home. A few caveats - our first room was a bit cramped and had no window and we were able to change to a much nicer one (one of the more spacious rooms at the back, charmingly opposite the school where it was a delight to hear the kids singing the national anthem every morning - but the inner rooms might prove quieter on weekends, and more insect-repellant on buggier nights - we were there during the week and it wasn't buggy), there is no terrace, and the understated and architecturally significant casa does not have the open-air conviviality of some of the other Gran Roque posadas in its class (such as La Terraza, Mediterraneo, both of which were very inviting) or the homey and muy sympatico Laquigua - don't detract from our "excellent' rating. The beds are very comfortable, the a/c and water pressure/heat more than satisfactory, and everything spotlessly clean. The excursions to the cayos were all great, and Carmen and Tony will help you devise a great itinerary. We began with a beautiful day at Madrisqui, then an arranged more elaborate day to Los Mosquises to see the turtles, the extraordinary Cayo de Agua, finishing with a short trip to Espenqui to see the starfish, a third day at the serene Crasqui, and our final morning at nearby Francisqui with its festive atmosphere (and wonderful bar/restaurant with the terrific Suni and her sensational mojitos) - which proved perfect for us. Finally, if you can arrange to go snorkeling with Tony at Francisqui's piscinita - DO IT! Gracias por todos Doña Carmen y companía~ ojála que volvamos pronto!

My husband and I stayed at Bequeve in Los Roques to celebrate our 30 happy years wedding anniversary. It could not be better! From the moment we arrived we felt relaxed. We have been at the Park before, but it does not stop capturing our heart and senses from the very moment we land over there.

Our stay at Bequeve was one of a kind experience again. The beautiful and neat beach house and its candid and courteous staff were ready to received us: impeccable furniture dressed with white table cloths, beautiful paintings hanging on the walls, neat and fresh rooms with bed also dressed with white sheets, and more importantly the gorgeous smile of Chef Ms. Carmen, the professional greeting from Ms. Carolina, the hotel Manager, and the open and happy face of John David, the beach guide, were just the start of what will remain in our memories as the best celebration ever.

During the three days we travelled to three different islands on the archipelago, we ate different food options based on delicious fish dishes and drank a few bears kept very cold in the cooler John David took to the beach for us. After arriving back to Bequeve, a neat table served with fresh juices and freshly baked sweet bread was already served as an afternoon snack. We ended each day walking from the hotel to the beach to watch the sunset and the birds along with happy tourist having cocktails at the terraces by the shore.

Aren’t we right to keep this experience as an unforgettable and idyllic celebration?

Great staff, always willing to serve and help.
Food is delicious, always fish based, if you like fish, you gonna enjoy it a lot.
They have their own boat and set you up in the beach with all you need.
If you want to drink at the beach make sure to bring your own, the ones they include are basics and limited quantity.

The first thing you should do when going to Los Roques is align your expectations. The island is simple, with basic infrastructure. Most of the hotels and hostels are also simple. Bequeve has nice rooms with both air conditioner and fan, a nice and comfortable bed and... no hot water! For those who consider it indispensable, maybe it's a problem. For the rest (and for me and my wife), it was not an issue at all! We have chosen the "all included" package which consists of breakfast, food and beverages at the beaches and dinner. The breakfast is nice, always with bread, butter, jelly, egg and something different, like the arepas we ate in the last day! Do not expect to have a 'resort like' breakfast. The same for the dinner. It's always one appetizer, salad and a fish or meat or pasta. Again, do not expect a menu full of options. At the beaches, soft drink, water and 3 or 4 beers per person, which for me was fine. It also includes a simple dish or a sandwich. But Bequeve's main differentiation is its very friendly staff! D. Carmen, the efficient chef, cooks very well and promptly helped my wife with vegetarian dishes! John, the beach guide, was always happy and ready to help you with anything! I strongly recommend Bequeve for some days in paradise! And I think I don't need to make any comment regarding the beaches, right? Enjoy it!

Los Roques is heaven (with mosquitos and ulra strong sun). Airport staff stole our camera from our bag.
This posada was nice, clean, friendly and had great tours. We paid $1300 for two nights including flight from caracas. We found out we paid more than anyone else there. I wondered if it would be best to fly in and book posada once you're there. They are plenty and there are always rooms available all around.
I liked the food but think many of the people posting here need to get out more. It was home cooked meals like my mother in law makes. Lunch is usually packed for you to take to the beach - rice/fish, pasta/fish, potatoes/fish. Power died once for one hour.

Room Tip: book on the island, most people paid 90 Euro ($130 i think ) per person per night but this is the ra...

Great, super comfortable inn topped with one of the warmest treatments I've ever received during my trips. Doña Carmen's food is just insuperable, and you won't find anywhere around Los Roques anything made with the same love, care and delicious taste. All in all, fantastic service and fun yet relaxing day trips.

Bequeve made me feel at home just that in a heavenly setting. The only bad thing was leaving.
