We are just back from 3 weeks in Botswana, Zimbabwe and Tanzania, having stayed in in 10 camps, lodges and hotels along the way. Sango was right at the top of our list (tied with Ivory Lodge in Hwange, Zimbabwe). It is an intimate, friendly place with clean, comfortable accommodations and excellent food. It wasn't luxurious and didn't have all of the amenities of some other places, but it seemed like a throw-back to the days when safaris hadn't become a mid-market commodity. The staff was the friendliest of all the places we stayed. Dennis was an excellent guide. We loved Moremi, mainly because it was the least developed and crowded of all the parks we visited. We also saw 4 of the Big Five (no rhinos) within a few hours during our first day out. The highlight of our entire trip, a leopard stalking, killing and eating a mongoose occurred within 10 yards of our vehicle. So, if you want a "real" safari experience, we highly recommend Sango.More
