This is a beautiful forest with streams in which guides first thing in the morning scout out the locations of lemurs. All the tours utilize guides. We saw Indri and red-bellied lemurs. We walked in the park twice. Well worth visiting to see lemurs, since this national park is only about 3 hours from the capital, Tana.

Hike the forest with your guides and hear the calls of the Indri. We saw the Indri lemur, red bellied lemur, and diadem sifaka lemur. Our guides, Patrice and Terry were amazing. The trees are gorgeous, as are all of the plants and flowers in the forest. Streams run through the forest. We loved our visit there.

We had two nice walks in the park and saw different species of lemurs. Although the road to Mantadia is very bad but the park with her animals is worth it. We saw diademed sifakas, grey bamboo lemur, red belly lemur and black and white ruffed lemur.

Both parks well laid out with a number of trails varying in difficulty to see lemurs. Andasibe easy to locate the Indri. Mantadia has more variety as its a larger park. Both perfect!

We loved hiking through Mantadia. Due to its distance it is less busy than the park in andasibe. We saw no one on our 4 hour hike. We had a great guide who spoke basic English and tried really hard to help us find lemurs. We saw a family of indri indri and some brown bamboo lemurs. Such an amazing experience.
