We used this hotel as a rest during a flat out trip across Madagascar. An excellent pool, very spacious and comfortable bungalows and good food made for a great stopover. The staff were very accommodating, and the shower was hot and inviting after a long day on the road. Right by the beach.

Best place on the east coast closest to the capital. The is hotel in reality is much better than the expectations from their website. Do not try to find anything else in the neighbourhood. Well-managed grounds, up-to-standard rooms (if they had air-conditioning, they would score perfect - the wall fan is loud, and it is pretty stuffy to sleep with a mosquito net) with a TV (did not bother to turn it on). The restaurant is huge, the food is reasonably priced (checking the website, one may think it is expensive, but in fact the main course starts at a usual for Madagascar $5), well prepared. There are several breakfast options. Service - no complains. There is a pool with a bar if you like that type of a vacation. The beach is a few meters away protected by the coral reef. Can rent a pirogue to do snorkelling. The beach is good for walking south.

Minuses: the karaoke in the restaurant - it is a "free mike" - had to run away a few times. Beach vendors selling food bother a lot Day 1, then they start to recognize you and walk by. Beach (plage) workers can be annoying, could stand there for an hour begging you to take a pirogue ride. And it is quite a ride from Tana (8 hours to Tamatave, and 2 hours from Tamatave to Foul Point although it is only 50 km - wanted to turn around a few times).

Room Tip: book in advance

A smart clean hotel on the seafront. Beach good for swimming but you do have to battle through tourist tat sellers to get to it. There is a swimming pool if you don't fancy the fight. Food is good if a little overpriced (chips as a snack though are excellent value!). The road to the hotel is very bad so take that into account when planning your travelling time/transfers.

Super hotel. Take just breakfast. Local guys will fish for you and make dinner (fish, lobster) directly on the beach. Good for kids, long shallow beach kids will love. Nice beach, Massage, Fishing, Boat trips for reasonable money...

If you plan a journey in Foulpointe Toamasina, I would suggest you this hotel..It has the standards with the best quality/price rate in the vicinity! Each time we go eastside seashore we try to book there, but you have to do it earlier because it is most of the time full during Holiday period!
Nice place with tennis court, swimming pool, the beach...However, the restaurant is medium....

The location and lodgings are simple beautiful. Right at the edge of the ocean which is about 100 meters or less from the swimming pool.
The menu is totally in French, and help to translate to English is very shady. The breakfast is a total joke if you are used to something special. Cake, long bread, banana, coffee, tea, hot chocolate.
The one thing i realised is they also do not have a working Visa machine. I had to part with my 'insurance' cash when I checked out.
