Took the 3 Grandchildren with 5 adults on Saturday and the night before I was able to buy online a 7 family entry ticket (as the youngest is under 2yrs) costing a lot less than other venues. Drove from Chatham to Drusillas park about 75 miles from then on all the adults and children loved it, food was brilliant, very sensible prices, the park staff first class and play area best I've ever seen.
Great Day Out.

A bold statement to make but I have been here numerous times with my young family and it never ceases to amaze me how good it is.

From the moment you walk in you are immersed with animals, trivia, facts and things for the kids to look out for. Then you have the zoolympics where you pit yourself against animal types of activities, all dotted around the zoo trail while seeking the animals.

Eventually you get to the enormous outdoor playground, or the large indoor playground if its raining, where you can spend a few hours letting your animals burn off some energy, before taking the train ride or riding the tea cups in the new hello kitty area.

There's something for everyone at Drusilla's, which is why we will be back soon.

I forgot to mention our recent visit was the busiest time ever with the overflow car park being full, but that didn't mean our day was spoiled, as the place has so much for everyone to see. Fantastic.

Drusillas is fantastic. We had our second visit there yesterday with our 4 children ages 7,9,11 and 13. From start to finish it was brilliant. There are just the right amount of animals to compliment the incredible play area which my kids said was the best play area / adventure playground they'd ever been on. The park is immaculate and there are friendly staff on hand everywhere you look to answer questions. In fact the atmosphere was that of such harmony, you can really tell it's a very tightly run ship with the owners very much hands on. A lovely family atmosphere with delicious well priced food and great amenities. Beautiful areas to sit, and should you wish to bring a picnic, great spots to do so in. The Hello Kitty garden is gorgeous and has great rides. The animals all look happy and content and their enclosures mirror the impeccably clean park. The longest we queued for a ride was about 3 minutes and that was on a gloriously hot day in August. Highly recommended and well worth the trip from Hertfordshire. All our kids said it was better than Whipsnade. The animals are perfect for up close experience for inquisitive little minds, helped by the super friendly helpful zookeepers. Well done Drusillas! You tick every box for a family day out.

We visited on a Friday in the summer holidays with our nearly 4 yr old twins. First thing I would say is that the staff are friendly and very helpful (rare in my experience at these theme park type places). The toilets were nice and clean all day with little toilet seats for the little ones. My twins loved the Thomas ride and the Hello Kitty bits as well as the animals.

Although this is a very small park there are a lot of animals and things to do/see packed in. This was also it's main downfall.... We visited during the school summer holidays so the park was very busy as expected. Unlike other zoos/parks you immediately enter the first animal 'corridor' as soon as you leave the pay booth. This leads to a massive bottle neck of people as they all stop to look at the first set of animals. Unfortunately the crowds do not disappear leaving paths and walkways feeling very small and you feel rushed to look at the animals then quickly move on to the next so you aren't run over with push chairs for overstaying your welcome. One more downside is that there is no where to stop and sit down/picnic around the park until you reach the very end where the main kiddies attractions are - it would have been nice to break up the day with food rather than going hungry all day then eating before leaving.
Other than that the park is very clean and well maintained with lots of 'fun facts' etc to amuse kids. Feeding the birds with a cup of nectar is a must!
Would recommend to friends but would advise them to pick when they go to a quieter period!
