I booked this cabin as a Honeymoon gift for my son and his wife. They are very outdoorsy and adventurous and loved the closeness to the Buffalo River for floating, all the trails for hiking (Twin Falls was their FAVE), and the peace and quiet they so needed after all the hustle and bustle of the wedding. Lora, owner, was amazing from the day I booked. She answered all my questions and even insisted on decorating the cabin for the newlyweds. WONDERFUL OWNER. Kids had a Blast and I will be booking again soon for myself.
My stay was amazing. Lora and Andy were so kind and helpful. The cabin itself was clean comfortable and very well stocked. I will return
Perfect location for exploring the Ozarks. The cabin is secluded, so it's quiet, and the night sky is beautiful with so many stars visible and fireflies in the woods. The cabin is tastefully decorated and has everything you need for a wonderful getaway (loved the porches). We saw several deer in the area. We had a great time driving on scenic highways, hiking, seeing waterfalls, and exploring Jasper. Lora gave great directions and instructions on getting in and was so thoughtful in helping us celebrate our anniversary. We will be back, and we've told all our friends!
We enjoyed our stay in Hasty at the secluded cabin! The place was beyond what we expected; functional and cute with wooden furniture and a tin roof, the deck was recently finished and extends around half the house. The place was spacious and the queen bed was seriously comfortable. It rained for a bit in the evening, and while the fire pit was no match, we relaxed and stayed dry under the deck - there is an overhang on both the south and east side. We also got to watch an amazing lightning storm from the cabin, high up in the hills. Absolutey recommend this place! Lora, thanks for being so responsive and sharing all of the tips about things to do in Hasty, Harrison, Jasper and beyond! We did not catch many wild animals this time around... except for our little pooch. Take care :)
The cabin was just perfect for my family! It was exactly what we needed. It was incredibly comfortable from the comfy bedroom to the living room. Lori included a manual for the cabin that included everything we would need to know about the cabin and she also included great ideas on where to eat and visit. Although there was wifi and satellite available, we hardly used it at all as we were too busy enjoying nature and each other. We brought along games to play, but the cabin was already stocked with games and books as well. We love the outdoors and did lots of hiking in and around the area. We hiked to Triple Falls (Twin Falls) and it was exactly as the pictures described! The hike was pretty short, so we hiked to the top of the falls and had a picnic lunch. We also hiked to Eden Falls in Lost Valley. That was incredible! We found lots of caves in which to explore. There was a beautiful waterfall with a natural bridge and the best was the waterfall that we found inside one of the caves! I think this was by far the most fun we had! Lori gave us advice on where to kayak as we brought our own kayaks. It was absolutely beautiful and we were almost all alone on our own little beach! We also hiked to Hawksbill Crag which was just beautiful! It was a bit of a steep drive, but well worth it! I totally recommend filling up with gas every chance you get as there are lots of long winding roads and few gas stations in between. The cabin is only about an hour away from Branson. We spent a day in Branson riding the train, ziplining, and watching the shows. There is so much to do in the area but the best is just sitting around by a fire stargazing at night. Waking up in the morning and sitting outside in the outdoor living room was just perfect for my morning coffee and quiet time. We spent a week at the cabin but with we had more time as there is so much to explore. We will definitely be coming back!
My husband and I were looking for a great getaway near the buffalo national river to take our 10 year old grandson on his first week long trip. Obviously the name "A Hasty Getaway" caught our eye and we weren't disappointed! The owner went above and beyond to make the cabin a home away from home. They have thought of anything and everything you could want. The washer & dryer is a plus because we didn't have to pack a ton of clothes. The decor and dishes were so quaint - we didn't even want to leave the cabin. Our grandson kept referring to his loft area sleeping quarters as "his loft". He loved it! We even got to bring our dog with us!
My friends and I had originally come to this cabin to float the river. The river was flooded, though, and this plan fell through. However we still had an awesome time because of everything there was around the cabin! We had river access and access to a lot of hiking trails! There was also a fire pit and a grill for more outdoor fun. There were even games that we enjoyed playing! The owners care tremendously about your stay and will accommodate your every need. Would absolutely stay there again!
