I stayed at Knock Farm with my family last week and loved it so much I have created a TripAdvisor account just to leave a review! Judith was able to book us in a week beforehand at the last minute and this was such a lucky find.
We were greeted warmly with cups of tea and coffee and some slices of homemade bara brith, having been shown to our large family room which comfortably accommodated a double bed, two singles and a travel cot for our young son, with plenty of space left for our extensive luggage. Both the room itself and the en-suite shower room were spotlessly clean and nicely presented, with tea and coffee making facilities if required. The room overlooked the beautiful garden at the front of the farmhouse.
Breakfast was served in the guests' dining room and lounge which was comfortable and roomy enough for all. A high chair was in situ ready for our son. Judith prepared a lovely fresh fruit salad every morning which always went down well, accompanied by the usual yoghurt, cereals, toast and fresh juice. Her cooked breakfast was delicious and set us up nicely for the day.
John and Judith are such welcoming hosts and really made us feel at home, especially our little boy! Within an hour of our arrival, he was having his first ever sit on a horse with John and exploring the farm with its cows, chickens, ducks and dog. Judith even put some of our son's clothes in the tumble drier after the beach which was a great help! They have recommendations for any and all restaurants, pubs, walks or other activities which you may wish to undertake and they have clearly been in the business (and of course the area!) for a long time. We followed their recommendation and travelled to Dale one evening for a meal at the Griffin Inn which was absolutely fabulous (you need to book however, it's pretty cramped and very popular). John also recommended a visit to Little Haven where we went for lunch and again, we really appreciated the tip-off. Pembrokeshire itself is stunningly beautiful and suits all; the beaches in particular are world-class. Knock Farm is conveniently located just outside Haverfordwest and the coastline and other attractions are all within easy reach (although you do need a car to get around).
I really cannot recommend Knock Farm highly enough and we can't wait to go back.
