I stayed at this beautiful retreat for 3 nights last spring and have been trying to figure out a way to get back ever since! I was a first year teacher and needed some spring break solo rejuvenation...the Mountain Thyme Inn provided exactly what I needed. Perfect place to get away alone or with friends or family!

It's a 6 hour drive for us to get there. Why do we keep coming back to Mountain Thyme?
1. Mike & Rhonda planned it for several years, built it from ground up, own it and run it. The property reflects their creativity, hospitality and personality. Mountain Thyme is not an old home converted to a B&B. It's a B&B with all the qualities I desire from a top notch hotel ... beautiful furniture, coffee & tea bar, central air, 21st century bathrooms, beautiful stereo music, a wall full of DVD's, books & puzzles.

2. I personally like to get up early (5am) to have a cup of coffee, have my QT and then read my iPad news. I can do that at Mountain Thyme in the living room or on the huge porch.

3. Mike and Rhonda are great and listening to your interests and then recommending day trips. This trip we visited the President Clinton Museum in Little Rock, an hour drive. Another couple we met preferred hiking.

You can do as much or as little as you want at Mountain Thyme. It's our home away from home.

Room tip: We stay in Jamie Lee room because it has a great view of the front yard, a window seat, two chairs to watch TV ... Mike will bring you one if you ask ... plus a fireplace.

The minute we turned into the drive we knew we chose the right place. Can't say enough good about this place: from the awesome breakfasts, friendly hosts, cleanliness, serenity, sweet pets, the porch, location...what else can I say? Best weekend getaway we've ever experienced. Can't wait to go back!

Room tip: We viewed all the rooms.. They are all great! I'd like to try them all.

This is a beautiful bed and breakfast.  Mike and Rhonda are the best innkeepers my husband and I have ever met. They take hospitality to a whole new level.  The morning breakfast is scrumptious and they even have homemade treats throughout the day.  Many of the other guest are repeat visitors.  It's like staying at grandma's and grandpa's house, they'll spoil you rotten. They have a library of movies and games, whatever fits your fancy.  You can do bird watching and stargazing while you are here, they have binoculars and telescopes for those interested.  For those who enjoy reading they have a library filled with all kinds of reading material.  They really know the area and can offer lots of suggestions.  Their home is nestled in the woods and you can really enjoy God's creation around you.  We loved watching the humming birds coming and going.  They've even been recognized by many national critics for outstanding hospitality over many years.  They've thought of everything, they gave us a tour of the other rooms.  Some have jacuzzi tubs, fire places, beautiful views of the forest and even a room geared for someone in a wheel chair.  They built the house especially with a bed and breakfast in mind.  Huge wrap around porch.  It's just beautiful.  It's the little thoughtful things that they have added to the home to make you feel relaxed and refreshed.  We could go on even more, but you will have to just pack your bags and go.  We sound like salesmen but when you see something good you can't help but let others know.  We are from Houston and in our 30's.

Great hosts! The inn is a home. Built for room privacy and you do not hear anything from your room. The food is wonderful! Cannot wait to go back!
