While enjoying a very good wine-tasting, I learned that Nanni's restaurant is run by a chef, Javier Pautaleon, and that he takes great care in choosing and preparing menu items. So, being a food junkie, I returned the next day. Lunch began with an extraordinary bread with seasoned salsa, followed by brochettas of sesame oil marinated veggies, bife de lomo in a wine sauce, along with roasted tomatoes and moz. cheese strips, and ending with a dish of ice cream and frozen grapes under a sweet caramel sauce. Everything tasted fresh, and flavourful. That, and the pleasant open-air setting and excellent service made this one of my most memorable meals in Argentina.
