Family room was good size (5 single beds) and had a private bathroom (other rooms on our floor shared a bathroom hostel-style). Staff were really helpful and nice. Wifi is pretty weak and you need to be near the atrium to access. Good place for a night after 3 days on the road and interesting mix of guests.

We were going to stay at another hostel, but it didn't work, so went into this hotel. We stayed in a triple room which has clean and warm beds. Bathroom was fine as well. Internet didn't not function well (which is normal in uyuni) in the room, but it was fine in the lobby.
We enjoyed the breakfast- hot chocolate was delicious! Bread, jam, coffee, hot chocolate, cereals, juice were served.
Any hotels are expensive in Uyuni for ok quality. (Obviously because it's in the middle of nowhere and the town is not developed much...) Considering the reality, we think that it was a pleasant stay and we would use this hotel again next time.

I'm not sure if it earns the name "hotel" because it is more like a hostel. We've booked one night in advance via booking.com. When we arrived they had our reservation with a price of 26$. When we had to pay the lady told us we have to pay 31$. That was the price booking.com gave us, so we paid it but I still don't know why the boss wrote 26$ on our reservation. Btw: if you take a room directly at the hotel you pay 200Bolivianos which is even less. When we came back from our 3-day Uyuni Tour I luckely checked my mails to see that they forgot to announce booking.com that we were present and that booking.com want me to pay a 30$ fine. We went to the hotel again. The manager was helpful to manage the problem, but it took us an hour and we never heard the word "sorry".
But now to describe the hotel ;):
It's located close to the train station in the avenue where also a lot of travel agencies are. The rooms are basic but clean and the beds are comfortable. We didn't have a bathroom ensuite. The common bathroom is just one toilet, one sink and one shower in one room. If someone takes a shower (the showers are hot) you have to search for an other toilet on an other floor.
The breakfast is very basic: Nescafe, jam, butter, bread, dry cereals and some kind of yoghurt. The Bolivian hostels we've been to had better breakfasts.

We had planned to stay for one night but we stayed an extra night because our friend got sick. Uyuni is bizarrely expensive with little to show for it. Hotel Julia's prices are normal for Uyuni - 420Bs for 3 people, but out room actually had five beds and a private bathroom. Showers were warm to hot all day long, breakfast was decent, wifi decent considering how slow it is elsewhere in Uyuni and guests are permitted to use the pc in reception. I wish I had known that before paying to use one at an expensive and useless Internet cafe up the road.

Hotel Julia does not pretend to offer luxury, but thanks to the staff, specifically the wonderful Hugo and Shirley we are really glad we stayed there. They were continually obliging, especially when our friend was ill. An added bonus after our salt flats tour was being able to have a shower for 20Bs as well as charge our phones and use a little wifi. Their location was handy, next to 2 tour operators we used and right next to the main square. We are glad we went there

This was a walk in experience, as we had to adjust plans. The price was 200 bols for a two person room with outside shared bathroom. Don't know if due to miscommunication, it was a twin room rather than a double room. The room did not have an outside window but oner onto the corridor, so the curtains were drawn all the time and making the room a little dark. The crt tv did not seem to work, but we were not too bothered. The room did not have a private bathroom and would be 100 bolivianos extra. There was another hotel nearby that included a private bathroom and was cheaper, but because they couldn't offer a garage and their English was non existent and no breakfast would be provided, we went with hotel Julia. They also provided a toilet roll, as they seemed not to provide any in the bathroom, perhaps to deter people off the street? The hotel is well located, close to the main Street we here there was a market on the Sunday and many restaurants as and shops.
The garage was actually someone else's garage, rather than hotel parking, and was a 10 min walk from the hotel, we followed therm by bike to get there!

WiFi was fine initially, the code was automatically provided, however it stopped working around 9am the next morning, it as appeared there had changed the password. As checkout was not till 12, we found this bizarre as and did not bothert asking for as new code.

The buffet Breakfast is good, fresh juices, bread/toast, butter jam, hot drinks, fruits and yoghurt.

Others reviews had complained about the room being cold, but I found the bedroom too hot and had to turn the radiator down, however the breakfast room was colkd in the morning, so bring a warm fleece!

The small bedroom was clean and a towel, a sachet of shampoo and soap was provided per person, the shower had hot water but I found it difficult to shower at a consistent temperature.

So as a basic hotel it worked, nothing fancy, not bad if on a budget?

Room tip: Ask to see the rooms.
