Not to be missed, a fabulous night of music, traditional food & Polynesian dancers. Very good, Value for money & great entertainment! Add the ambience of a moonlit night & the dancers performed in a Cave! For me, this was my best night out in Tonga, shared with friends!

Quite an adventure travelling, about 45 mins ride out of town, past the airport, when you arrive you really dont see any beach, walk down a steep walk way that is beautifully lined with bamboo lights, at the bottom you pay an entry fee, the organisation i visited in Tonga met this expense, but the girl tells me its about $45TOP not bad compared to buffet in Fiji. At this point i thought wed enter the restaurant, but now there is more walking, down the contours of what looked like a path carved into the cave. at this point the moon glistening the sea is what you see and its endless, this is where the sun rises and sets and where the moon lights up the skys. Its truly majestic. You dont get to see the sand until you reach the bottom. Beautiful beach, sand so soft you really shouldnt wear shoes its a hassle. Dinner was buffet and is always served at 8. But we actually ate around 8.30 because the owner and hosts was entertaining and giving a quick run through of the history, staff, Oholei etc. Food was amazing, loved how everything was authentic, traditional Tongan food, and you havent been to tonga if you dont see a roasted pig on the table and actually eat it...:-) After dinner they take you to a cave where they have set up bamboo seats to sit and watch the traditional dances, fire dancing etc. Change a $20 into $1 for the traditional slapping of notes on the dances for appreciation, its common in the pacific :-) you dont have to because you paid for the dinner, but these notes go directly to the dancers and they really know how to entertain. If you plan to have a few drinks ensure you have a designated driver, because the ambience in the place is so relaxing for those who drink you will take more then 1 or 2 bottles or glasses of wine- I know because my colleague was having so much fun and drank alot. Lucky enough shes a champion at drinking and we managed to go back into town. I dont drink but i felt like I had a hangover the next morning, had so much fun, and its a must see purely for experiencing the Tongan food, entertainment and scenery.

Scenic
scenic
scenic.
Pricey entry to the night festivities but food is worth it. Drinks were annoying to wait for but the atmosphere was invaluable.
The staff were helpful and the waterfront was unexpectedly clean. Certainly a must-see when going to Tonga.

Let's get real with the reviews here. These are very rough backpacker thatch fales on a secluded beach in the middle of nowhere. No electricity, but they will turn on the generator for you if you need to charge your electronics. But what a beach, all to yourself most likely. The beach is great, and deserves the raves, but the accommodation barely scrapes two, and at TOP90 is not all that cheap.

What a find! From the time we descended the stairs through the rocks and onto the gorgeous sandy white beach we were sold. You would pay loads of money elsewhere to stay in such a breathtaking location! We loved the beachfront fale's (basic but comfortable) and having "room service" on the beach for all our meals (we were the only guests at the time!). It was truly a Robinson Crusoe experience and my favorite for our 12 night stay in Tonga.

I stayed here for two nights, and the only thing I could fault was the stay wasn't long enough!!!
This place has such a beautiful experience to it, I coldn't recommend it more!
Woke up right on the beach with beautifully cooked breakfast both mornings! Watched the whales throughout the day, and the staff were quite happy to show me around.
I learnt a lot about the Tongan culture by just talking to the staff, and you will soon learn the Tongan way- there is no time there!
This place makes you lose yourself in relaxation!
Dinner and the show is well worth going too, even if you do not decide to stay here. The feast is amazing, and the show is very entertaining! Makes for such a wonderful night!
The accomodation itself was lovely. Nothing too flash, but adds to the sense of culture to your stay.
There is actually nothing I could fault about my stay, wouldn't have changed a thing. It was perfect!!
