Queness Inn
Ranked #10 of 48 Speciality Lodging in Maun
Reviewed 5 June 2014

A new Guesthouse, quite a few kilometers from the CBD, Queness Inn was a great find. Friendly, accommodating receptionist, willing to help and make suggestions and she was able to give us informative advice.
The three golden rules were met 1. Safe parking, 2. free Wi-fi 3. Air conditioning.

This new establishment is already well supported and I can see why, it's affordable, spotless, well maintained and easy to find.

New locks have a way of acting up I suppose, and when our friends' Trellidor didn't unlock my heart dropped into my Havannias. But, within minutes they were shown to a new room where they made themselves comfortable. Large, spacious rooms with King sized beds, crisp white linens, soft, cuddly bath towels, a large bathroom, with a bath-tub and shower combination, this, admittedly was the only disappointment, as I have visions of my husband, with his dodgy knees, slipping on the wet surface, tumbling over the side of the bath, injuring himself, lying on the floor in agony, and me in a flat spin because, believe me, not only will that be the end of our holiday but, I'll not be able to move him in a month of Sundays.

These self-catering units have very well appointed kitchenettes, the large refrigerator is a blessing if you're en-route to the bush and need to keep fresh supplies cold overnight. We didn't switch on the television but it's a large flat screen and I'm sure a couch potato would enjoy lolling around on the comfortable couch to watch DSTV.

We slept like logs and felt refreshed and ready to tackle the last leg of our journey to our campsite.
