“Average Ghanaian cuisine”
Reviewed 15 October 2013

Kentish Kitchen is in the middle of the cultural centre near the museum about the Ashanti monarchy. There is also sometimes a craft market very close. The service (as others have commented) is quite slow, but this is not unusual in Ghana and was by no means the slowest we experienced.

A good option for lunch whilst visiting this part of Kumasi.

“Slow service and poor food”
Reviewed 12 March 2013

This restaurant is located within the Kumasi Cultural Centre. We ordered fried noodles with chicken and got some kind of spaghetti with tomatosauce and 5 bite-size pieces of chicken (not unusual for Ghana). No vegetables. Service was slow. But it was edible and reasonably priced, we payed 10 GHC.

“a nice place”
Reviewed 21 February 2013

In Kumasi the arts center is an oasis of calm right in the middle of the crazy city center.
In kentish Kitchen, the food is ok. Service is as slow as anywhere in Ghana. Better order food and then go to the museum while they cook it. Or order sth simple like fried rice and chicken, which appears very quickly.

“Decent to average food, long wait for food”
Reviewed 10 November 2012

If you are at the Cultural Center around lunch time, you would eat here only because it is a convenient spot. Otherwise I'd skip this place. The food was okay, but it took more than an hour for everything to arrive for our party of 6. One dish came within 10 minutes, the next dishes came about 30 minutes after that, and the final dishes 30 minutes after that. Had only one server who disappeared for long stretches of time. Not a particularly interesting ambience either.

“Nice restaurant with poor food”
Reviewed 20 January 2012

The restaurant is very neat and nice, good located in the culture center. But the food is very poor, the could neither cook european style food nor traditional ghanian food.

Stay there and enjoy a beer or some other drink whilst in the culture center, but unless the management is changed - eat somewhere else!
