“It worked as a place to sleep”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 November 2012 via mobile

I stayed in this hotel 7 nights while on a dental mission trip to Kumasi. It's difficult to review this hotel because when you consider the conditions of the area, it wasn't a terrible experience. However, when comparing to American standards of hotels - the experience was poor.
With that being said, I will review in comparison to the location. It was fairly clean. Beds were firm (which I didn't mind), water pressure for showers was down to a trickle, wifi didn't work the first 3 days but then worked fine the remainder of my stay. Electricity was intermedent (no fault of the hotel..I think). Was served omelettes and coffee for breakfast. Chicken and rice was usually available for dinner and/or lunch. Each room had a refrigerator, couch, tv (3 channels in the area), desk. Walking distance to a decent restaurant (Mothers).

This hotel worked as a place to sleep...served its purpose.

We agree with the review above and had the same experience with the breakfast calls. But with we chose coffee and tea and they came to the room with hot chocolate....
Also not so convenient is to place the main light switch behind the bed frame...
The classic "one towel pr. two people" and the massive crack in the bathtub did not improve the experience.
In our guide book it said they have Wi-FI internet. No they don´t!! Not even the reception had access to internet.
The restaurant had a large menu with 32 dishes and of that they could offer us either chicken and rice or a club sandwich. We also ordered drinks to the room, that never arrived. Not impressed.
Not worth the money, lots of better options in the city.

The hotel is fairly new, and looks pretty decent from the outside. However, as soon as you get in, the story changes.

The rooms have deteriorated quite quickly, they are smelly and the handle of our door to the hall kept falling off.

The pool, which is quite nice, closes at 6 pm. Nobody tells you about this until you get into the pool. On weekends they have live music, which is nice enough. A lot of people come there from the outside to party, so expect to hear some noise.

What made the stay truly terrible was how they made not one, not two, but three phone calls in the morning regarding breakfast. At 6 am the receptionist woke us up and asked what we wanted for breakfast. Dazed I answered "Do you have tea?" "No" she said. 15 minutes later somebody else calls and wakes us up again and asks the exact same questions. But this time there is tea. Then at 7:30 a third person calls to ask what we want for breakfast and what time we will be there. When we finally came to the breakfast area, nothing was finished. So weekend sleep in ruined for nothing. Never again.
