Left this place with no complaints or regrets. The owner Mateus and his staff took care of all of our needs and really made us feel welcome. The location of the guesthouse along with the lake is absolutely breath taking. You cannot go wrong staying a couple nights here.

We stayed at Cocoa Village Guesthouse for two nights in May and were positively surprised by the peacefulness and tranquility. It is a lovely place to relax for a few days.
In May there were quite some mosquitoes around, so we were glad we did bring our net.
The place is some kilometers off the paved road.

Thank you very much for your positive recommendations. We are very happy you are finding our place on your trip and enjoy in Cocoa Village. It is a little bit far trough paw road and that’s the reason why we organized for our guest from April 2013 free transport from Kuntanase/Abono to Cocoa Village Guesthouse and back.

Visiting this place with two kids (6 and 8 years) and wife was great choice. We had opportunity to visit nearby village and school in it, swim in lake, enjoy riding horses or just sit and enjoy drink or two. Food was better than average food served to us around Ghana. Room was nice and clean. Important thing is that there are no mosquitos - no need for net or repellent.

Well, this is the place where you can be at home with the locals. This guesthouse is located near Kumasi (about 30 km far) in a village beside the lake. The place is full of tranquility and peace. But on the other hand if you want you can hang around with the locals, who are happy to show you around their village. The owners are ready to help with any wish you have. You can feel that the staff is felling good about working in a place like this. So that projects good atmosphere when staying there. For me it was a great experience just being there and feeling their vibe. Hope to visit again and for staying a bit longer.

I love the place. The lake by itself is marvellous and Cocoa village guesthouse is perfect place to stay. I was surprised that there is realy only a few sign - board which advertise the place because the place is realy beautiful. I had perfect time there. perfect place to relax, swim. No mosquitos. The stuff is friendly and the food is really good. I,ve met a lot of interesting local people there -Antwi the rasta. You also have to visit the closest village Anyinatiase which is realy close. Thanks to friendly meneger, perfect service, he drove me to Kumasi with car for free:-)

I love Cocoa Vllage. Rooms are clean and food is great (beer is cold!). One of top 5 places I ate in Gana!
The stuf is friendly and quick (not so common is Gana :))
A must for all who are in near Kumasi!!

Best luck,
