I Knew my Boyfriend would surprise me, but not with this spectacular experience. The hotel was really nice and with hospitable staff especially the manager Elijah who ensured the stay was a success. Our dinner table was decorated with very beautiful roses and writings wishing me a happy birthday not forgetting the delicious food. The well-spaced luxurious cottage had very warm decor and we enjoyed a view of the lake. Crowning the trip was the boat riding experience on Lake Oleidon. The sight of pink flamingo's,pelicans and hippos was mindblowing....That was a Great Treat.

Room Tip: Rooms on the south have a clearer view of the lake.

The hotel was really nice. The food was great and the staff were quite friendly especially Fred the waiter in the restaurant. The prices are quite reasonable from the accommodation to the food and drinks. is not on the usual Moi South Lake road, where majority of the resorts and hotels in Naivasha are located. Its actually 35kms from the turning to join that road. The long drive is definitely worth it.Its a nice serene environment. Its a short drive to the national park.

Room Tip: choose a room closer to the restaurant

We were planning to go sometime mid October but I really wanted to go for their executive room as suggested by trip advisor but it was fully booked then so I had to move up to the beginning of the month so that I could get it so I would recommend if you want the executive rooms which are only three you would rather book a month or more in advance depending on the season and considering October is quite low key I would suggest the earlier the better. They should add more executive rooms- this are ideal for couples looking for a romantic getaway. Getting there wasn't difficult at all although its easy to confuse Naivasha Kongoni lodge and Kongoni lodge . Naivasha kongoni lodge is past the kongoni lodge so just keep going. Once we got there I was worried about the reviews that said the water in the rooms wasn't hot- but they have worked on it and the water was welcomingly hot. The view is breathtaking- the hills, and lake oleidon. The room is massively spacious, its got a kitchenette, a dining area, ( if you would like there's provision to do your own food all you would need is a gas cooker and then you can bring your food plus your own utensils and whip up a meal; next time I will make sure to bring some ice cream) there's a lounge, the bedroom and now the massive bathroom with the Jacuzzi. its quite private makes the whole experience tremendously romantic. On the first night, we had a la carte menu which was delightful and our waiter was amazing - but the second night it was buffet and I was a little bit disappointed with the few options available. We went for a walk in the wild at their sister lodge- wileli to see buffaloes just 100 metres away and zebras, giraffes, eland, etc even a lot closer was quite the experience. I would definitely want to go back and I would recommend it to anyone but it would have to be the executive room again. The lighting is a bit messed up, too dim for my liking and in odd places and we could hardly figure out where the switches were and the outside Jacuzzi has leaves that fall in it and its not heated so its not quite appealing but other than that it still was a swell experience

Room Tip: The executive rooms are the only ones with the Jacuzzi so I would recommend those ones

First thing, loved the location of the lodge, breath taking view all around, especially Lake Oleidon. The cottages were divine, loved the decor of the rooms, the staff were friendly and their service was commendable. the rooms are slightly cold at nite, im thinking heaters would do and also more executive rooms should be added. would have enjoyed the jacuzzi since there are only situated in the executive rooms that are always booked...all in all it was a nice experience and id surely visit it again

The view of Lake Oleidon is heavenly especially from the restaurant. The staff were amazingly friendly and hospitable. The thought that went into the architecture and interiors is to be commended. They've gone for a natural, african look, with lots of wood detailing and fixtures. Their TVs have a HDMI outlet so you can carry your own movies as the satellite signal is not strong.

We stayed in one of the Executive suites and since it was cold at the time, we thought that we would enjoy the indoor Jacuzzi but it kept letting us down (some mechanical problem). The technician sorted it in the end but I think they should seek a lasting solution to the problem. Also found a hair clip in one of the bathrobes which spooked us from using them as it brings an issue of hygiene.

All in all, I loved my visit and stay and would highly recommend the place.

Room Tip: If you just a 2 of you then always go for the Executive Suites.

We arrived late and received. Headed to the wow executive cottage that has an indoor and out door jacuzzi, the living room is just amazing. they are slightly further down. Has a satellite tv even though the signal kept on getting lost. The food was great.and the staff very helpful. We talk a walk to the Lake near the property and what a time we had. The staff who took us there was well informed and conversant with the area you would have thought that he was born there. Try their sun downer. The pool is clean.
