but just a couple changes/updates to rooms (mostly the bathrooms) would make this an excellent property. I did see a few times that the frontdesk staff were overwhelmed too.
That being said, this is definitely on the tourist (read: group tour) trail, so they do get inundated from time to time.
Overall though, the possibility of hippo viewing, boat rides on the lake, and wildebeest, zebra, and waterbuck mowing the lawn, and the grounds themselves make this a spot worth staying at. There are also (and this is special for Kenya) several good hiking areas around the lake that are easy half-days from the property. Nice for a stop to or from the Mara.
