“On the edge of the dessert”
Reviewed 7 June 2013

After a long drive from Fez, we stopped here for a few evenings before going into the dessert. Upon entering the lobby, there was a traditional tea server sitting on the floor pouring tea for us. The little bar is very cozy. The large dining room was buffet, but very well done. The rooms I would only give a 3-star at best. They were minimal and bare thread. Despite the rooms, the hotel itself and location was a very good experience.

This was the most modest hotel of those used during our two week Morocco trip (planned by the wonderful tour company: Odysseys Unlimited). The rooms and the breakfast buffet were more average than others; but the locatiion is stunning. The hotel's pool & gardens are so lovely. If you are on a similar tour - don't hesitate to use this hotel's laundry service. We sent quite a number of pants and shirts for laundry and they came back in one day, very nicely done, at a very low price. Also, their prices for lunchtime sandwiches, alcoholic and non-alcohol drinks were quite reasonable compared to those we had encountered elsewhere.

Stayed here one night on our way to Fez. Very nice welcome with front desk staff. Nice grounds with a very nice pool. We even had a camel come though for some pictures. The room was very nice, big and spacious. The rooms have small refrigerators which were great to cool down some drinks we had in the car. The hotel does get some tour groups and serves a buffet style dinner and breakfast. Food was good but definitely not outstanding. They do have a full barn and nice bar area. Hotel is a little ways out of town and after driving all day we didn't feel like driving back into town to eat.

This hotel is primarily used by bus tours. The food is mediocre, especially the breakfast which had few redeeming qualities. That is after fighting your way through the crowds to the buffet table. The rooms are very poorly lit, and the mattresses sit on cement pads that are much larger than the mattresses and stick out into the room. This causes injuries, stubbed toes and bruised shins. Mosquitoes are rampant. There is a can of repellent in the room, but who wants to sleep with the smell. The windows have no screens so shouldn't be opened. I was covered with mosquito bites.

Very lovely hotel with super staff. The best dinner in all my time in Morrocco. The had real Morrocan food with delicious spices etc. The room was great if not luxuriosa and everything spotlessly clean. Was only here one night which was a pity.

Room Tip: First floor is best.

Reception friendly staff
Location, Hard to tell we came late left early didn’t see the town. That what happens when you go on an escorted tour…..
Room is large comfortable
No reading light. Overall poor lighting, they might want to create a Moorish atmosphere but I want to read in my room.
Bed – Comfortable with good clean linen
Refrigerator- Yes
Kettle- No coffee maker or kettle
Wi-Fi free and with reasonable speed
TV- Very small television, especially for the size of the bedroom. It is too far to see. One channel in each mayor language. Mostly news
Room for 2 large bags, we had to put one on a chair and one on the stand.
Breakfast.- Cold – good selection of cold items. Even the coffee was cold and weak.
Bathroom is very large and clean with a bidet!
Towels are white and clean
Shower pressure reasonable
Amenities. Shampoo and hand soap
Still using bedspreads and blanket. I prefer the double sheet method. More hygienic.
Very nice pool area, too bad it was cold and we left too soon
