We were a little worried about staying at kingfisher after reading tripadvisor ,but what a fantastic stay.
THE HOSTS were so friendly the garden has been sorted out ,its neat and tidy .
The bedrooms were clean ,and cosy ,both rooms had fans and were cool. its was a very hot day .quiet area .
Will return again .

My family and I stayed in the Kingfisher lodge recently and we were disappointed. It was extremely hot outside (39 degrees or so) and there was no aircon. My daughter got heat stroke from being in her room for a couple of hours after we arrived. The kids room was so light - there were no curtains, so they woke early. There were no fly-wire screens on the windows in their room, so the mosquitoes got in. They were given one upright fan - this didn't cool both kids. On the second day I asked for another fan and was given a disgustingly dirty, unsafe one. In our room, I had a very noisy fridge next to the bed and I therefore didn't sleep well. I had requested some assistance in advance with breakfast as my daughter and I have dietary issues and although we'd been promised various things, none were forthcoming, which meant my daughter had practically nothing she could eat and the breakfast I was served (scrambled eggs) was cold and disgusting.

Best of it was the breakfast, it was ok.Our room was ok. Only the electric Installation might be able to set the house in fire. Wonderful garden, but a neglected. Even so our patio. We had to ask for a cloth to clean the table. Unconfortable chairs . All that was absolutly not comparable with our other 7 B&Bs of our journey. What a pity, the house should see better times. It's worth.

Clean, friendly, efficient.Only criticism is the old magazines in the bedroom - three or four years old. Garden rather run down. Good recommendation for restaurant for dinner and efficiently booked. Quiet and relaxed

By all the good reviews we expected more, although we got what we paid for. the garden needs serious attention. The very old and broken furniture under the trees must be disposed of.
Breakfast O K but juice very synthetic tasting. Linen towels etc very nice and clean. dogs 1 large 2 small a problem as they were not confined to the main house area.We felt like intruders as there was no homely atmosphere. The owners should invest in a/c units. room was like a Sauna

Room Tip: We only got shown our room no choice although not full.

Nikki is very friendly and helpful, she made dinner reservations for us and attended to our every need. However I expected more from, reading the website, than what it is. The garden is an old garden, with the charm of old fashioned plants, but needs better maintenance to be called beautiful. The interior and building are, for me, nothing to write home about. For R400 per person per night it was okay. A good enough stop over with clean towels and bed. Breakfast was fruit, yoghurt, cereal self-help & eggs etc made to order.
