What looked like a relaxed and nice stay, turned out to be a sad example of bad customer service. We stayed in room 20 and after being there for about an hour or two, this horrible smell appeared from one of the 2 bedrooms. The sewage smell quickly went through the whole appartment. I complained at the desk and there I was told that this was a common problem and throwing some solution down the toilet would help the problem. Well, it didnt and there was no other room available. We slept in the other bedroom, with the door shut, but still the awful smell was there. Needless to say that we didnt sleep that well. The next day we had to wait for more than an hour to hear Tia (housekeeping manager) making all kind of lame excuses. In the end this was not her fault, but the fault of the municipality, so she could not refund us. We could get a coffee voucher of 50 rand. After declining this rude offer, she turned around and left us there standing. We decided not to let this ruin our holiday and decided to leave. I see loads of positive remarks here and I guess if you dont stay in room 20 all will be fine, but please be aware of the rude customer services of Tia.
