We've spent 3 nights at Ngorongoro Farm House; 1 before 6 days of Safari and 2 after. I must say that we were really looking forward to being back there after the Safari. We had a very nice time at this lodge, we got 2 different rooms which were well furnished and comfortable. The view on the gardens makes you feel in nature. The lodge grows its ownn fruits and vegetables, so a part of the food is fresh from the day. We had very good meals as well. Definitely a place to recommend!

Room Tip: Ask for a room with window-door on the gardens

After the dust and pale colors of the dry season in Tanzania, the Ngorongoro Farm House is a lush haven. The property, amid the coffee plants and other fruits and vegetables grown onsite is lovely, as are the spacious rooms. The food was, on average, very good. Would recommend it strongly to anyone.

Room Tip: Wifi was available in the main areas, but not the rooms.

Stayed two nights at the Farm House. It was easy access to the Ngorongoro Crater area. The grounds were incredible and the buildings were very impressive as well. Enjoyed the evening reception on the deck with free beverages and local entertainment. Meals also provided plenty of variety. Wifi was only available inside one room of main lodge, but it was on vacation. Our only issue was the distance our room was from the main lodge, at least a 5 minute walk that was not flat. The rooms were very nice and a great view but if walking is a problem for you, you might want to mention this when making reservations. Would definitely stay here again.

The location was very nice, friendly staff, beautiful surroundings and good food.
The only dissapointing thing was when realizing that we were the victims of a cheap scam : the pack of 500gr of coffee that we had bought at the reception desk, only weighted a little bit more than 350 gr !!!
So, be very carefull when deciding to buy their coffee!

At the Farm House plantation lodge, my daughter and I had a large one room bungalow, it was very cute, with two extremely comfortable double beds with lots of feather pillow, a fireplace and a large covered porch off the back of the unit.

The grounds, gardens and buildings were all exquisitely cared for with many different coloured plants, neatly maintained surrounding a manicured lawn, there was even a vegetable garden where the chef goes out to cut fresh herbs and produce, all surrounded by the coffee bean plantation.

The main lodge is a grand building - white stone and stucco with a high cut thatched roof. As beautiful it is from the outside, it is even more spectacular inside. The high ceilings with the gorgeous exposed mahogany wood beams and the meticulously tight underside of the weave thatched roof. The whole lodge has sweeping views though roles of opened French doors to the plantation and valley below. Near the main lodge is a very nice pool which we did not use as it was not heated.

Prior to dinner we sat up on deck of the lodge, where We enjoyed free drinks, and appetizers while the staff put on an entertaining local Massia performance.

All our meals at the lodge were delicious, with lots of choices

The staff at the lodge's restaurant were very helpful and friendly, quite the opposite to the reception and rest of the hotel staff that were very unmotivated.

Although the hotel state they had wifi, none of the guest could connect.

The lodge is close to scenic Ngorongoro crater, where you'll want to get off to early morning safaris to increase your chances to see the wildlife. Just make sure you dress warm, in layers. Because the morning African air is cold!

The lodge is very nice surrounded by beautiful gardens. It’s just relaxing to enjoy all the colourful flowers and plants. Good starting point for a daily trip to the Ngorongoro national park.
The rooms are original furnished and really huge. The half open rest room is maybe not for everybody taste. Good beds and very quite. The public area is also nice a spacious.
The service is good to very good. For dinner there is good choice of different meals, good food. For the lunch box you can choose by yourself from various things what you like to have. That’s a good idea.

The hotel was very clean and the staff all appeared friendly unfortunately there was a power cut just before dinner which lasted all night. During this power cut my wife had her camera stolen. We tried to report it to the manager before we left in the morning but she could not be contacted.
