When you are in Tanzania the nicer destination to visit for leisure , learning and cool atmosphere is Nogorongoro conservation area which allocated in Northern circuit of Tanzania . In Ngorongoro we see there is huge number of wildlife animals which you cann't explore in any destination in Africa. We Swahili Paradise Tours & Safaris we suggested this wonderful place to be as first choice for our clients to visit when they are plan to come in Tanzania for holidays or any other activities . S o what can be seen in Ngorongoro is a Crater which happened in naturally , natural vegetation , different species of wildlife , migratory birds and great rift Vally which passed through Ngorongoro from lake Beira in Mozambique .

“Amazing place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 September 2010

Even the road to the crater looks sensational. At the beginning you must climb (by car) to the edge of the crater, at this level the air is cool, and then road is going down to the crater. Along the way, the views are amazing. Ngorongoro advantage is limited space for the animals. Rangers know well where to go to see exactly what you want. Better avoid the peak seasons, there is too much cars in crater. In the dry season each car makes dust clouds extend for tens of meters. Best way to visit Ngorongoro is to buy organized safari in Arusha. I was on 3 days safari with Manyara NP and Tarangire NP. In my opinion, two days safari is too short.

“What an incredible place!!”

We went to the Ngorongoro Crater after Manyara Lake. The amount of animals that can be seen is far greater at Ngorongoro Crater. Not only were there more animals but also there are animals in the crater that are not at Manyara Lake such as rhinos, cheetahs, and leopards. There are no giraffes in the crater so you will have to go elsewhere to see those.

“Kuhama Camp was excellent”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 March 2009

We stayed at Kuhama Camp for 4 nights in February - at that time of the year the annual migration is near to Lake Ndutu. (Note this camp moves around depending on the migration).

It sits on a ridge above Lake Ndutu. We found it to be very comfortable. Queen sized bed, shower fed by an overhead bucket which was filled at the agreed time and a flush toilet. Yes, it was camping, but a far cry from the basic bush camping of my youth. Everything was there - toiletries, insect repellent as well as netting.

The food was excellent considering this is a bush camp. The service similarly good - nothing was ever a problem.

We found it a great base from which to explore the Serengetti. This camp is right on the border between the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and the Serengetti. All the herds were on the Conservation side of the boundary which meant that you were able to drive "off road" versus "follow the established tracks" policy in the Serengetti National Park.

Each evening you were escorted back to your tent by a Masai warrior with strict instructions not to leave until daylight. Zebras munched outside our tent one evening, another evening we heard (but didn't see) lions and in the morning a small family of elephants grazed 50 metres away.

It was a truly magical experience.

“best place on the circuit”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 October 2006

Holy cow, this place was incredible. More exciting than the Serengeti. Saw every animal possible here, including leopards and cheetahs. Plus, we also saw a great kill...a pack of jackals took down an adult zebra...wow!
