Where do we start ?? We have just arrived home from the worst holiday we have ever been on , we couldn't wait for the two weeks to end! En route to the "resort" we were told the transfer would be 45 minutes and after a long hour and a half of looking out of a coach window as what we can only describe as something similar to bay root we arrived. From the outset the hotel looked nice to be fair we checked in and were given very little information at all only 6 people arrived at the same time as us and all we wanted to do was go to sleep in our room but it must of taken in excess of 45 minutes for the whole drawn out process.
The first day well the first hour!
We took our towels and went to find a sun lounger all we wanted to do was relax but instead we were ambushed by various people trying to sell us excursions they did not want to take no for an answer. One in particular who was representing the hotel spa was incredibly rude and pushy, we wanted to visit the hotel spa but in our own time but this guy just wouldn't let it go to say the least. Waiting outside our room and following us the bank we soon decided to tell him to leave us alone, after the heated discussion we booked the spa with our rep who was roughly 30% cheaper. By the way the spa was really relaxing and we enjoyed this :) much recommended if you dare to brave this place!!
The beach?? Ouch watch out for the broken glass!! The 'safe zone' is approximately 150meters, we often walked up and down this 150meters before deciding each time to turn around. It's for the locals either side. Apparently there was meant to be a lot of activity and water sports but we only saw a bit of this. We did swim in the water it wasn't too bad and the floating jetti was ok, beyond the safe zone of an evening there was some activity which included the locals dog fighting and burning there rubbish on small fires.
The food! Blurr! Not sure if my dog would eat some of this there was some variation on some days but to be truthfull it was diar the most shocking thing is it had good potential because on one night when a French company came in to video and take photos the food was fantastic a wide selection of meats fish and cheeses the decoration was superb but this was clearly for the cameras only and the next day we were back on the old soggy rations we have both had upset stomachs from day 1 and now even though we are home.
The chamber maids did visit every day but only to make the beds and sweep the floor we had to ask for clean towels and I don't think I saw or smelt one cleaning product in the whole miserable two week stay!! The lobby toilets stank of ammonia and although they sometimes mopped the floor I'm sure that was the only mop in the hotel.
We did not leave the "resort" for the entire two weeks :( it wasn't worth the risk after the stories we had been told by people who dared, this hotel is not for the British as there were only about 10 to 20 British in the whole resort at our time of stay although we did make a few good friends.

The only thing that kept us going was the animation team who you could not fault banana especially who was just fantastic with all of the children who you could quite clearly see adored him, he genuinely went out of his way to help and make conversation and was great to have around the rest of the animation team were funny too and made us laugh around the pool and tried to get everybody involved in activities without being pushy.
Our overall opinion is that we would not recommend visiting this country even the flies we're complaining !!
We could go on but this is just a brief summary !

Room Tip: Just don't stay here!

We had a fantastic time , we travelled as 1 family of 3 and another of 6 , we arrived at approx 1am and was greeted with a big welcome and a much needed refreshing cocktail, we also was offered crepes/pancakes if we wanted them.
we was exhausted after a long journey and after completing some forms we got taken to our rooms which are clean ,tidy and spacious .
In the morning we noticed we was supposed to have a sea view room , we advised reception and got introduced to SHERIEF who is always happy to help with any information you need in the hotel , he got us changed into a sea view room within 20 minutes , if you pay the extra a sea view room is a must .
we had a 9 month old baby, the room had a travel style cot which was clean and had plenty of sheets.
The food was excellent so much choice and fresh dishes cooked to your choice, also you get a bottle of water and a bottleof genuine diet coke put on your table.
A massive thank you to SALEEM , he looked after us and our table seating for 9 with 4 adults , 3 kids & 2 babies.
during breakfast ,lunch and dinner time the table was always set and ready for us with both baby seats in place ,he was always smiling and happy the kids and babies loved him.
Thank you to ALI in the pool bar who will keep you topped up with white wine spritzers , beer and soft drinks through the day.
The hotel has 2 outdoor pools and 1 indoor pool which have lifeguards patrolling them.
the beach is fantastic with lots of water sports activies and is also patrolled by lifeguards.
within the pool and beach areas you can have loud or quiet which ever you prefer , plenty of seating and sun loungers around and crepes served all day if you fancy a lite snack.
A massive massive thank you to the animation team BANANA ,BLACKY ,NINO ,SAM & SHREK, these guys are at the top of their game ,total professionals, night and day they will have you laughing ,and if you want to join in with the sports ,activities & entertainment, the kids absolutely adore them .
recommended is the quad biking see at reception for more info and the girls enjoyed the spa day in the hotel .
we have already recommended this hotel to the family and possibly coming back next year.
we stayed from 28th may until 4th june.
thank you again .
Danny , michelle & Calum

Had a brilliant stay at khayam garden, the hotel itself is lovely! We had a great 11 day relaxation! The animation team were amazing, especially banana who made us feel very welcome and is great with adults and kids alike! Very sad to have left now but it's very likely we will return in the future!
