We booked 1 night through Agoda and I think we had what we want.

We arrived at the hotel at 3AM when the stupid bus dropped us at Nyaung U at the middle of the night. To be honest, at night this hotel looked much less attractive than other hotels in New Bagan at night. But at day time, it looks nice with garden and separate small bungalows rather than the box type hotels in Nyaung U. The receptionist let us sleep in the lobby and we started renting electric bicycles at 5AM to catch the sunrise.

Our private bungalow standard room costs 40$ 1 night and it worths much then the 40$ room in Yangon. We found the stay at this hotel very quite, pleasant and relaxing. I just love the non-commercial attitude at the hotel, we don't seems to do business at all. They make me feel that they try their best to serve us.

Represented good value compared to rest of New Bagan
Bungalows are quiet, spacious and bathrooms a little dated but clean and functional.
Breakfast was basic egg, jam & bread.
Very pleased with the easy-to-find location and there is large sign on the main road (good access to main road for bus/walking/cycling)
Very happy with service from the staff - Manager helped me book Balloon Flight & organised a airport taxi at the end of it - not an easy feat!

A reasonable place, with decent rooms, and practical location. Could do with a lick of paint and some new furniture, linen, carpets. Breakfast was also very basic but staff was attentive and helpful at all times. Nice garden and bicycles available to rent (albeit a touch expensive compared to going rates)

Room Tip: I think all rooms are similar.

This is a really good find. The mid century style Bungalows all surround a very well kept garden area. They are equipted with a/c, sat. tv, mini-bar w refrigerator, H&C shower with a bathtub and good wifi. They serve a nice breakfast (included) in a room that is perfect for meeting fellow travelers. The staff is very freindly and helpful. We found our room to be clean and well maintained (everything worked). They also have a generator so 24 hour electrical power is provided. Only a short walk to Lawkananda Pagoda and the Ayeyarwadi River.

Room Tip: All rooms seem quiet but the rooms in the rear of the garden may be even more so.

Small bungalows with terraces and a well kept garden to sit in. The place is clean and staff very helpful. The bathroom is a little dated but for the price you get WiFi, satellite tv and air con. Also if you want a pool you can spend an additional $5 and use one of the hotels up the road. They also rent out bikes, arrange tours etc. A good little find and not listed in the Lonely Planet.

This is really a guesthouse with single storey cottages scattered through a garden. It's in New Bagan which is some way from the most popular pagodas, but still well enough located, especially with one of the bikes they rent.
The staff are exceptionally obliging and will pull together a quick breakfast if you are dashing out to the sunrise pagoda. They also organised a car for us from Bagan to Inle Lake via Mt Popa and Pindaya Caves. If you need a taxi to get around, they will be able to fetch one for you.
The rooms are well equipped in standard Myanmar fashion but everything works and there is a generator for the inevitable power cuts. Internet is workable too and they can be contacted quite asily as they have a website - just Google the hotel name.

The rooms were simple and a bit old, but they were clean and had everything we needed. The location was nice and quiet - no loud noises to wake us up. It's located in New Bagan, and it is easy to walk to several of the restaurants in the area. We arrived on the night bus at 4am, and the staff woke up to let us in, held our luggage, and gave us directions to a good temple where we could watch the sunrise. They even let us check in a bit early when we got back. They also helped arrange taxis for us for a reasonable rate - one to another temple area to watch the sunset, and another for the whole day to drive us around the different temples. They can also help with booking bus tickets and making reservations in other cities. For the price, it was well worth the money, and I'd stay here again if I went back to Bagan.
