We had a bungalow here right beside the pool area. Bungalow was very spacious, well decorated and comfortable. The pool was a welcome relief after a hot day sight seeing with drinks avaliable at the pool. Hotel staff were easy to communicate with and ordered taxis as requested. Althoguh a little out of the towns, it was always a pleasnat journey back to the resort on a horse and cart, with taxis to restaurants not too expensive. As with all people in Myanmar, the staff were cheerful, friendly and only to happy to help. A great place to stay.

We stayed for 4 nights in a Deluxe room, it was a nice change from our usual basic guesthouses. 3 full days in Bagan is a perfect amount of time to see everything.
Pros: Beautiful surroundings, staff are very helpful and always around when you need them. Booked a full day taxi at the front desk and it was the same price as outside, big, clean pool with sun beds and cocktail bar (it's so hot in Bagan we would go back during the day for a dip in the pool to cool off) Beds comfortable, big rooms, good shower pressure, hot water, well decorated Burmese style rooms, the breakfast buffet is fantastic! Staff speak English quite well compared to other parts of Myanmar. There's a turn down service and they give you yummy lollies and spray the rooms for bugs, it's a really nice touch.
Cons: It's quite a distance from the rest of Bagan, we had a horse and cart on the second day and I felt pretty horrible it took half an hour from the closest temples back to the resort. If you ride bikes, be prepared as it's very hot and dry. We didn't attempt the bikes because of this. Service is slow around the pool.
There are other things you should be aware of: Cocktails were not very good but that's because safe drinking ice is hard to come by and it's a fairly new concept to them, Wifi is not very good either but again this is to be expected.

I spent 3 days at the resort last week under a package deal which included airfare, hotel, breakfast and transportation to/from airport in Bagan. The package price was a good deal for what it included but I'm not completely sold on the resort itself. Staff was very helpful but speak very limited English. The room was very nice and comfortable; the A/C worked which is critical to help stave off Bagan's heat and humidity. I never once had any hot water in my room nor did I find any in any of the public facilities either. The rooms are poorly lit and the bathroom not only was very poorly lit but also was in some need of a good cleansing (maybe that's the reason for the poor lighting!). Swiming pool and deck are beautiful as are the grounds of the hotel. The hotel is a bit removed from the temples and the areas you would want to visit. The restaurant at the hotel sucked and there are no outside resources immediately available unless you take a taxi.

Bagan and its temples and the people are amazing. I so much enjoyed my visit to the area and it can be done on the cheap. You can tour by private car ($5/hr with non-english speaking driver) or in a slow-moving horse and buggy. I would recommend doing both, but a different one each day. You don't need tp spend more than 3 days Bagan or you will risk getting "templed out".

In conclusion, the hotel was ok, and while I would consider staying there again I would look around at other options first.

Beautiful and quiet resort. Nice, spacious and clean; friendly staff and tasty food. amazing resort for the amazing surroundings. There you can borrow a bike for going around Bagan. The swimming pool is great for cooling you down at noon when the sun is really heavy

We stayed at Amazing Bagan Resort for 2 nights. It was good value for money. It is a small, quiet and relaxing resort style hotel, approx. 1000 meters from the Nyaung Oo village, adjacent to a golf course.

They provide free bicycles, it takes you approx 10-15 min to Nyaung Oo or some of the historical sites.

The bungalow were build according to a traditional design, nicely decorated, bright and clean. Room and bathroom condition was ok, rather clean. The premises, gardens and pool area are nicely designed and well kept.

Breakfast was of a good variety, choices and quality were o.k.. Restaurant was clean, service was polite.

Internet was available and - typical for Myanmar - very slow.

Overall it was pleasant.

Would we return to this hotel? Yes.

The bungalows (toward the pool area) were nicely done and quite comfortable. The resort was calm and relaxing, breakfasts quite good, and the pool and garden area was a wonderful spot to relax with an evening swim under the moonlight.
Bicycles were available and highly recommended as a well to tool around the outskirts of Bagan, and see temples in the evening when most of the tourists are gone. Bring a light for the road after dusk - and enjoy!

Several higher end hotels of this type in Bagan. Choose the Amazing if you want more peaceful environment (with squirrels), nice pool, big room, you want to stay in a large private cottage, and if you want to eat buffet dinner while enjoying a puppet show in an outdoor restaurant full of bussed in tourists. Rooms in the main building are good-sized as well and comfortable. The trade-off to the Amazing is distance from the sights and proximity to town. Bikes provided by the hotel are old-fashioned one-speeds, not the most comfortable. Otherwise cabs will be needed to go anywhere. Reservations can be made at their office in Yangon cash or through agoda both slightly cheaper than paying at Bagan. Hotel staff here are fully conditioned to interacting to tourists, so there's less of an authentic Burmese experience.

Room Tip: poolside cottage worth the extra $
