We shared a Roma pizza and bottle of wine. The thin crust pizza was excellent. The Itallian chef, originally from the Amalfi coast, chatted and gave us a tour of his impressive and spotless kitchen.
The well meaning Burmese staff tried hard but had no clue about what wines they had and there was no wine list. Seems like this brand new restaurant is badly in need of a manager to bring the organization of the place up to the same level as the food. All in all we very much enjoyed our meal and finished with a perfect esspresso made by the chef himself.
Myanmar, and Bagan in particular is experiencing such an explosion of tourism that growing pains like this are not unexpected. Definitely worth going if you are looking for a nice change from Myanmar food.
