We stayed here overnight.

The hotel is easy enough to find. Enough signs are posted on the road.

At the hotel there are a lot of parking space probably because no one stays here. We arrived on a sunday and only 4 cars including ours were parked. The 4th car was the hotels Nissan Patrol.

The guards were courteous. Especially the door man/ guard who greeted us every time with a smile. The staff at the reception were accomodating. We noticed that there was a sign promoting a 10% for Petron card holders. We got the discount without any fuss from the staff.

The lobby was a bit gloomy, possibly because it was insufficiently lit. It was clean but the lack of patrons made it feel weird.

The room: we got a superior room on the 2nd floor (room 206). The size was aptly sized for 2 occupants. The bathroom immediately caught my attention because it looked unclean. The grout around the tub was "moldy". The shower head was tarnished by what seemed like dried mold or rust. I also killed 1 fly in the room and there was 1 cockroach staying in the room with us. See the pictures. The linen that covered the bed smelled funny like it was not dried properly. And lying down it also felt moist. The Airconditioning unit (window type) was placed about a foot off the floor which to me is unsafe since it will blow off particulate matter on the floor and can be an Asthma/allergic hazard. It was able to cool the room after about an hour on full blast. Room amenities included 2 bottles of water and coffee, 2 soaps, 1 shampoo/conditoner, bubble bath soap, lotion, and 1 dental hygeine kit (for a couple occupant). They never corrected this. They had heated water. No slippers so bring your own.

Breakfast: complimentary plated breakfast since there were not enough guests to justify a buffet. The Tapa and Bangus (Milkfish) was good and properly proportioned.

Hotel Amenities:

Pool: 1 adult and 1 kids (3 feet), heavily chlorinated. If you have sensitive skin be aware of the chlorine.

Game room: Pool table, air hockey, mini slide, table tennis (poorly maintained condition). The air hockey was not vented properly so the puck stuck frequently. The pool table had lumps.

Gym: inside the same game room. So be ready to see sweaty people when you're playing pool or air hockey. (Hazards: wires and plugs are exposed so watch over your kids. You also have to plug the games yourselves.)

Playground/ obstacle course: huge ground for kids to play at. They have slides, rope climbs, wooden planks, etc. Just watch over your kids since some of the equipment go up to 6 feet high.

Zoo: small zoo/ organic farm for kids.

PWD Provision: ramps and elevators.

P.S. when I left a personal item in the room, they prompty returned it upon checking out.

Thank you for leaving such a comprehensive review of your stay with us. It always allows us to see what we are doing right and where we can improve.

I am glad to hear you liked our staff service and the breakfast - I will surely relay your compliments to the staff.

Your stay coincided with a low occupancy period and it appears our staff have neglected lighting up our lobby areas. For this I apologize and we are rectifying this.

I am also sorry about the insects you found in your bathroom. I assure you that this is an isolated incident as we do regular maintenance thrice weekly treatments in the entire hotel (through to the garden areas) precisely to avoid such occurrences. Unfortunately the insects tended to go inside buildings for a time after Typhoon Glenda but they have since come under control. I am pleased to inform you that following your other observations, we have rectified some of your observations.

However I am honestly at a loss on the damp sheets you mentioned. Our beddings and towels are all laundered by a professional laundry service and machine dried. I honestly would attribute this to the cooler, damper weather at the time of your stay.

WIth regards to the toothbrush (also rectified), slipper and other amenities, these are readily available upon request from our Housekeeping staff.

So we live in a town near tagaytay. We opted to check in since electricity was not yet available in our place and the front desk told us they had their power fixed already. We asked if its from a generator, they said no. We asked if there was cable, they said yes. We asked if the cable was working ,since the other hotels nearby said they were having trouble with cable. They said yes, it was working. So we checked in. The room which cost P4900 a night was small and basic. The tv was not yet a flat tv. We rested a while and turned the tv on. Lo and behold! No cable channels. Not even local ones. So i complained and they told me they were also having trouble with cable because of the storm. But the front desk told us otherwise just this morning? I just wanted to leave coz i thought they were not so truthful. Or the front desk was not knowledgeable. But i opted to just bargain. Give us a free extra bed and we wont leave anymore. I know i could've asked for a room upgrade but i just really want to be fair. If they didn't think not having tv was not so much of an inconvenience even for a mother of 3 bored kids who experienced brownout for 3 days , then i would just respect their opinion. Next time, i would just inspect the rooms first if i have doubts . The good thing is they have a huge playground and nice pool. If you're the outdoor type, this is great. Lastly, I salute the honesty of emiramona, taal vista and summit ridge who were fair enough to admit they were having problems.

Firstly I would like to apologize for the wrong information given to you by our staff at the time of your inquiry about the cable tv. As you know, the entire area had no cable TV at the time and there was truly nothing we could have done about this. There is a selection of complimentary DVD's for guests to use at any time. Still, our staff should have verified before giving your the information and this matter has been addressed with the erring staff. And yes, you are always entitled to inspect the rooms prior to deciding if you'd like to stay. This applies to all hotels all over.

Also with your comment on having 3 children and finding our room small, I would recommend our premier family rooms in the future as these have 2 double beds and can fit an additional bed comfortably, Our superior rooms (the one you stayed in) are designed for 2 with an additional space for one other bed so the space will really be cramped for your family with 3 children. Again, this should have been brought to your attention but it is my understanding that you declined this option.

Our generators worked full time to ensure all our guests were comfortable in the hotel. While it is true that the whole region suffered due to Glenda's assault, our hotel is fortunate to have weathered it fairly well with minimal damage. Other than your experience with the lack of cable, I hope you had an uneventful stay.

We stayed at this hotel for just one night with all of our management team for our team building and strategic leadership planning. We are all from the management hoteliers working in a 5 star hotel. We enjoyed our stay and it was really a memorable one. Through the very good leadership shown by no less than the OIC of the house/Executive Housekeeper Mr. Roy Virtuoso, we were all very delighted from the service excellence rendered by the entire operation teams of Kimberly Hotel. The rooms are immaculately clean and the breakfast/lunch and dinner buffet was so excellent. Their facilities for our events are indeed comfortable and convenient.

Room Tip: Rooms are spacious and higher floor rooms has beautiful views.

Stayed at Hotel Kimberly for 2 nights for a company offsite event.

Location:
The hotel was just a 5 to 8 minute drive to the rotonda/Skyranch. No view of taal lake/volcano from the hotel (you'd probably need to pay 3 times more for this option).

Rooms:
The rooms were generally very clean, although there initially was a stale smell in the shower area (we had housekeepimg fix this). Rooms on the left side of the hotel (when exiting the elevators) have great views of the pool area and the rest of the hotel surroundings. Beds were comfy enough to provide a good night's rest.

Facilities/amenities:
Wifi at the hotel was sometimes slow and just bearable/functional most of the time. Function rooms were decent (I think there were about 3 or 4 of them on the ground floor). We didn't encounter any problems, thankfully. The pools were small but decent enough to just take a quick dip in.

The hotel also had a nice game room (billiards, table tennis, air hockey, foosball). There's also a mini obstacle course for team activities as well as a petting zoo with farm animals for kids. No issues with parking. Lots of vacant slots.

The hotel food was okay. Don't expect anything grand. Decent for a 3-star. Breakfast buffet was alright. Included a good mix of Filipino food (dangit) and other/more Western food (toast, pancakes, omlettes).

Service:
Staff were mostly friendly and prompt. Checkin and check out was very efficient.

We stayed in this hotel for 5 nights for the occasion of a family wedding in the area. This was my first trip to the Philippines so was a little apprehensive about food and water quality etc. the rooms were spacious and mostly clean but management really should consider upgrading the facilities. The airconditioning in the rooms are old and noisy. We had a room facing the back of the hotel and overlooking the pool. A little noise from some guests but it didn't go too late. Nice breezes through the door from the small balcony. Staff were exceptional with special mention to the resident nurse who cared for our young grandson who went down with pneumonia soon after arriving. We will be forever grateful. A review of the food in the restaurant might be advisable. I think it would be good for the chef to visit a western country to get some ideas but in saying that the fresh pineapple was to die for. I'm not a fussy eater but struggled a little with food choices. I am giving my review a 4 because of the wonderful staff who cared for us. The Philippines is a wonderful country and needs the western tourist $$$ badly. The people are beautiful.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the pool will be cooler for the breezes. Don't get those overlooking the carpa...

My family of 8 stayed in this hotel for 3-days, 2-nights and had a great time!

While the hotel is situated "off the beaten path" , a little difficult to find and without a ridge view, it more than makes up for these by excellent service, a great breakfast buffet , clean pool and a farm that is enjoyable for all ages.

Because I make reservations from overseas, I really appreciate the ease of on-line reservations, the clear and informative website and the prompt and professional replies to my e-mails.

Will definitely stay again and already planning on gifting family with a saty at this hotel!

PS. My apologies about the lack of directional signs to our property. The city of Tagaytay prohibits signages along their main roads and we have been trying to find a solution around this since we started. Any suggestions would be welcome!

We had a good time staying in this hotel for overnight in Tagaytay. The rooms are clean and spacious while the hallway is quiet at night---sleepy breezy! We also love their 2 pools:) budget wise it is worth it & it is situated near the noisy roadside of tagaytay! Highly recommended!
