Strange hotel. On the one hand good public rooms, bars, cafe, games room etc. On the other hand the room is tired and uninspiring, old noisy Air conditioning. Wifi doesnt reach room and no cable offered. no pictures- no gown- no slippers- basic toiletries.
The staff are friendly and hotel is clean but why not due the minimum to make the rooms match up with the good public facilities. I think i prefer the basic but comfortable Tune Hotel round the corner. (verycheap)

Ive stayed in Mallberry Suites several times now because this is the only accredited hotel in Cagayan De Oro.

Pros
LOCATION, its within the Lim Ket Kai area and is within walking distance to Centrio Mall.
Security
Breakfast is average.

Cons
You pay extra for the pool and the gym
very poor toiletries. Bring your own toiletries.
Outdated TV and room

Overall this property is average.

Stayed in executive deluxe room for 2 nights and was the best hotel I stayed in my 6 consecutive month visit to cagayan de oro for business trip.

The room has a nice flat screen cable TV, cold air conditioning, mini ref, coffee table and chair, and a bath tub.

Although the view outside was disappointing because I can only see the roof top of the Robinson mall breathe the hotel, and thanks to the strategic location of the hotel besides the mall and limketkai dining out dinner was good with a little shopping after work.

Security is tight at the hotel with metal detector and k9 unit.

Definitely will stay back here again.

For the price i paid this is a good enough hotel. Facilities are maintained, clean and nice. Staff are friendly. Rooms are comfortable and well appointed. the wifi will do. When i first checked in there were no towels in the room and i thought they would automatically deliver them later in the day. they delivered them the next day and only after i requested. and it took them a long time and 3 follow ups later to do it. it almost made me late for an appointment. the tv signal at times are broken it may be because of the brown out (black outs - the filipino term is called brown out) rotation in Mindanao. it may not have been their fault but i have stayed in other hotels in the area and their tv cable signal was fine. the breakfast was filling but i did not like it. one dish seemed like they just opened a can of tuna and poured them on one of the buffet plates. but what can we expect for the price overall good enough hotel.

Hi. I came to Mallberry to inquire of the function rooms just recently. The Hotel is great. The place is cozy and the ambiance is superb. BUT, OK, the Sales and Marketing staff sucks like hell. Where the hell are your "Sales and Marketing" skills! You all have your long faces on, you cant even smile! you ain't the front desk but YOU still have to do some service! You can give me the "we are stressed and tired" excuse but aren't we all stressed and tired? so please, you belong to the service industry. GET SOME WORK PROPERLY DONE. because of this, i would rather NOT stay at Mallberry. Even Rhapsody Suites have better service.

Room Tip: go to another Hotel, please. service sucks

The room was big enough for 3 people and it was clean & comfortable. Food at Rosso was good & the breakfast buffet was hearty. The staff was friendly & they were happy to accomodate our requests. However, we were disappointed when we were asked to pay for the use of the swimming pool because according to them, it's not included in the room price. Other than that, it's a nice hotel.

Our group got over 15 rooms for this particular trip. From a standard and deluxe bedroom for 2, upwards to the suite rooms for 4 and 6.

The suite room that has 3 bedrooms is where I stayed. It is unusual they treat this as a room for 4, although upgradeable to 6. Even if we requested that we are 6, we had to request for extra pillows and towels. The 2 bedrooms shared a common split type wall mount aircon. It could not cool the both rooms adequately. The living room had a very strong aircon, same with the 1st bedroom. It has basic toilet amenities, except the claimed hair dryer is nowhere to be found, and the soap was bad, it does not lather. The other rooms are in the same condition, good beds, overall ok.

I agree with some reviews about the elevators. The 2 elevators near the main lobby seems adequate. But if one goes around the corner, they have another 3 elevators! However, to go to the suite rooms area, it is not accessible from the 2 main elevators. From the main lobby to the upper floors, they do not have enough signages to point the directions from your room to the elevators. They do have signages from the elevators to the rooms. This is relevant because their corridors are not the typical turn left or right. Their corridors is like a basic maze. In my case, when I get out of the elevator, the corridor is either left or right. I turn right. then I turn left. then along this corridor, there is a fork (go straight or turn right) where I have to to turn right towards my room.

I had breakfast here several times. The only one that changed was the bacon one day became some kind of sausage the next, and the noodles became mixed veggies. Everything else were the same, even the barely edible scrambled eggs. Yeah, its just a tummy filler. Pancakes were good though. Of course, they had some fruits, even the popular pineapples. That was good.

Front desk check in is slow. And not because we were a large group. We did not check in at the same time.
