“My fav”

Every venture into Gen San, Phela Grande residences is my home.
There are too many pros to mention, so Ill just mention the few cons.
The wifi has continuous issues, and there is nearby construction.
Other than that, the staff are beyond hospitable and do their best
to make you happy. The resto is one of the best and yet ignored in the city.
Home cooked meals that are well worth the fare. They are also not typically
too oily as are the far majority of the restos.
Enjoy your stay as I do ..everytime..It sincerely feels like my home.

Room Tip: Generally all rooms are great, yet there is nearby construction so choose your room accordingly.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It is very close to the SM mall, just a short walk away. (Don't make the mistake I made of taking a tricycle from the mall. The driver was confused by other Phela hotels and went all over the city before finding the right one!)
The room was not large but comfortable and well equipped, with aircon, tv, fridge, mini kitchen etc.. It was a nice surprise to be greeted with a complimentary drink and plate of fruit. The choice for breakfast was less impressive and delivery to the room was rather late one morning, perhaps because they had no bread!
The bathroom was fine, with reliable hot water to the shower. Wifi in the room was also reliable.
The hotel has a free shuttle to the airport but it does not operate every hour. To take it I would have had a long wait at the airport, so decided to pay for a taxi instead.
Recommended if you want to be close to SM. I would stay there again.

Love this boutique hotel. It feels like your home. Loved how they interior the place. Surprised to find a flat iron with an ironing board which comes in handy since I need to iron my clothes for our convention. It has a kitchenette complete with rice cooker and microwave plus ref. The hotel service is also good. You just have to arrange your breakfast the night before if you need to eat on time as sometimes they can be slow. Room service is good. The room rates are good for its price,

Another plus is the location. SM Gensan is just around the corner. Also Pacquiao's gym where Pacman practice especially before a major fight. Other malls are just 5 mins. tricycle away. People are very friendly and nice in Gensan and Saranggani. Roads are very wide and first class.

I can stay in this hotel forever!
I loved everything inside my room - classic and elegant interior, cozy bed and sheets. It has a kitchen with microwave oven, rice cooker, complete utensils, a ref, water heater. There's also a big closet with safe, and I was so surprised to find an ironing board and flat iron, of course. And there's a bathroom - clean and simple but has everything in it. A bit pricey for a solo traveller but very recommended.
Another plus is the hotel's location - accessible to and walking-distance from SM Gensan, KCC, Veranza and Gaisano malls.

Stayed here February 2013 Brand new, clean, good service attached to restaurant and bakery. Excellent internet. Two blocks from brand new SM City. Free shuttle to/from airport. After many trips to GenSan this is a nice find. About 5-10 minutes by tricycle from the hotel of the same name. Restaurant is good service slow. We had seven rooms all Americans on business. Around $50USD per night. Gym next door (hot no air-conditioning in gym).
