We chose the four seasons tented camp for my 50th birthday and we wouldnt have wanted to be anywhere else in the world. Wow what an amazing place. We felt like we had fallen threw a hole in the earth and landed in paradise.
We felt like we were staying with family. The staff were just beautiful. They went out of their way to make our stay so special. We will never forget what they did for us, from my special birthday breakfast up on the peak to my amazing birthday dinner that night, to the very romantic dinner in the wine cellar. It took my breath away . The tents were amazing. The attention to detail was second to none and the view from our tent Wow!!!!!
The elephants. What can I say. We had Yuki and Phet. We just fell in love. What special animals. We just wanted to hug them all day.
We had so much fun learning from the mahouts , and the treking and bathing was incredible.
The spa was outstanding. I have never been in a spa where you are in the middle of the jungle just listening to the wildlife.
If you do one holiday in your life do this one. You wont be disappointed.
It has left us with wonderful memories and we cant wait to return !

Room Tip: All the tents have amazing views . We had tent 12.

The Four Seasons Tented Camp was the end of our two week trip in Thailand, that took us to Bangkok and Koh Samui. We didn't know what to expect before we arrived and were blown away by the experience we had. The camp is nestled in a private area along the Ruak river surrounded by an elephant reserve and the jungles of northern Thailand. We were greeted by the reception staff in the village before taking the long boat to the camp, immediately we knew this was going to be something that we've never experience before. The camp is very luxurious and provides all the amenities needed to make you feel comfortable and pampered. The food outlets, from the Burma bar to the main dining restaurant were amazing and the food is to die for, I highly recommend the Thai menu to truly experience all the flavors and taste their cuisine has to offer. Our tent was a one of a kind accommodation, nothing was overlooked in the room and the view was spectacular, we could see the elephants roaming around in the field all day. Everyone we encountered was just unbelievable, from Mr T our guide of the Golden Triangle to Mr Rain our mahout trainer, everyone was so kind and genuine. The reception staff and the restaurant staff were so accommodating throughout our stay and provided the best service I have ever experienced. I highly recommend the breakfast with the baby elephants, make sure not so miss this! The riding of the elephants made me a bit nervous at first, but they are the kindest animals you will ever meet. Overall this was truly a trip of a lifetime that we will never forget.

We enjoy the all-inclusive 3- or 4-night adventures designed for active adults cover all meals, beverages and activities. The activities include elephant training, birdwatching, Golden Triangle excursions, nature walks, crafts.
We chose the casual dining option from picnic lunches to campfire dinners : Nong Yao for Thai, Laotian, Burmese and international cuisine, Burma Bar on stilts overlooking the elephant camp, wine cellar dinners and tastings.
We will be back there again soon.
We got the booking online and do search different sites for rates, you can try agod, htls, bargainhotels.blogspot.com etc

This is the amazing experience it has been on my wish list and it did not disappoint !
From the boat ride up to the camp the staff could not do any more to help. The stars of the show were the elephants the trekking was fantastic. The food and wine was very good with either western or local and was all great. The tent was pure luxury .
If you are considering this resort DO IT !!

We just returned from 3 nights at the Tented Camp for my husband's 40th. The camp and rooms absolutely exceeded our expectations as to what we hoped for our experience to be. The tents are wonderfully appointed and so romantic. The elephant experience was top notch and was so much more than simply an elephant ride or trek. You really are able to interact with the elephants throughout your stay. Our favorite part of the trip was breakfast every morning where they bring the baby elephants up to the camp and you are able to feed and interact with the babies. The trek itself might be somewhat difficult for someone older with balance/ mobility issues as getting on and off the elephants is not easy, but the hotel has such amazing service that it would not surprise me if they had something in place for their older cliental. The food and wine are fantastic. And the service is absolutely unbelievable. We coincidentally were seated next to the GM on the Chaing Rai to Bangkok flight when we departed. Upon learning that we had a 9 hour layover in Bangkok, he invited us to his apartment in Bangkok to use the shower and freshen up before our long flight back to the US. On his weekend off, he was still providing the utmost service to his guests! This truly is a trip of a lifetime, although I hope I'm lucky enough to experience it again at some point in my life. The Tented Camp is a very special place and in my opinion, worth every penny.

The only compliant that I have is that the website clearly states that children are not allowed, which is why I was surprised to see an 8 year old there with her parents upon arrival. The hotel said that this family did not tell them that they were bringing their daughter and only when the ferry boat went to pick with these guests did they learn about the child. Understandable that the hotel was put in a awkward position, but after one night, I feel that the hotel should have found other arrangements for this family and moved them to the other 5 star hotel in Chaing Mai that does accept children.

Room Tip: There is not a bad tent in the camp.

We stayed four nights at the Tented Camp and my husband, who had balked at the price of the experience, actually thanked my for forcing him to go. The Camp is unique perfection--there is nothing negative to say--the staff, the activities (especially learning to ride the elephants "bare-backed"), the culture, history were all fantastic. The spa was located in a most exotic spot overlooking a lush canyon, it was surreal. The all inclusive food was great--the staff noticed my aversion to super spicy foods and prepared separate dishes for me, unasked. The Burma Bar at the far end of the camp was wonderful. One night it was quite warm and the staff drove us to the other end of the camp for dinner so we wouldn't be uncomfortable. If you can afford it--GO!

Room Tip: All tents are great
