Once you've been there for the first time, there's no stopping a return visit -- or however many you can fit into your stay in Mae Sot. Our group went on repeated occasions and tried so many dishes. While we waited for fresh ingredients to be fetched and our meals to be prepared, we enjoyed the atmosphere of the place. We sat pleasantly outdoors beneath a thatched roof as music played in the background. When they noticed we were worried about mosquitoes, they were quick to provide repellent coils beneath our table. They never got tired of our large group and our constant need for water. Best of all, Robinson came out and talked to us and shared a bit of his story with us. His daughter, Sara, was sure to be running around close behind Robinson as he worked. The service was exceptional, to the point that the food almost didn't matter; but when we got our meals we were almost speechless... Almost, as no one could quiet our group, rather we were filled with discussion of our wonderful dishes and requests to try whatever the others had gotten. Next time I'm back in Mae Sot, this will undoubtedly be one of my first stops!
