me and my friend were coming from Penang, Malaysia, to catch a flight to Bangkok, unfortunately we missed it. So, we had to stay in Hat-Yai for a night. Were looking for hotel to stay, and was recommended to stay at VL hotel. so lucky that hotel is having a promotion room rate discount, so we paid only 900 thai baht per night. We were assigned on 12th floor, the room seemed just renovated, very welled cleaned and maintenance. Although the pillow is a little bit hard. Maybe it was me that i used to very soft pillows. Free wifi. The staffs are very friendly, was advice to many famous restaurants. Also the location is super convenience to walk. steps away from Kimyong market and train station.

Stayed here for 1 night. The room was old and need some maintenance. By the way the A/C in room working properly and they provided big flat screen TV that I was liked. I haven't try their breakfast or any meals, because I love to find local food near the hotel, so no any comments for the hotel restaurant. The best thing is location of this hotel, near to Kim Yong Market that you can just across the road. Overall, worth the money and OK for 1 night.

We needed to stay in Hat Yai for a night and this place was available. Like most of the other reviews, it was ok but not great. The staff were very nice and while the room was mostly clean, it was small and smelled like cigarettes (even though there were no smoking signs everywhere there was an ash tray in the room) and felt old. The bathroom wasn't the cleanest, some mold and soap scum in the shower but the bed was comfortable. You have the pay 20baht to use the wifi which was a little odd. Breakfast was ok... kind of everything here was just ok. It is a good location though and we walked around the night market and found somewhere to eat. Hat Yai is an interesting place, not many foreigners western foreigners there. Overall, I think the hotel was a litle overpriced but it was fine for a night. Since there aren't too many budget options here then the VL is a good choice for a quick stayover.

Stay at the hotel yesterday, old but still ok. The staff try to serve the best, worth the money. Only 5 mins walk to Lee Garden Plaza. The room was clean , the breakfast was lousy but i don't mind as it came as complimentary. You have to pay 20bath perday for wifi

Rooms are very old and run down, and not big at all!! Not worth for money at all, really regretted. Also WiFi is chargeable but very slow.

We spent a night in the hotel, and was fine with it. The location is good, as it is located few minutes walking distance from Kim Yong market. So, if you can not locate the hotel, ask for Kim Yong market. The staffs were general friendly and welcoming, no problem with communicating in English. The room was equipped with bath tub and 40' plasma tv, and this was the only plus point to the hotel. The major issue is that the hotel really needs big upgrade internally and externally, and it is dusty, dark and just too old.

This is my third time staying at this economy hotel. It has a very good location and the room is always clean. The only two things I would like to complain is that most rooms are smoking rooms. and that its wifi (20 Baht) isn't reliable. Staffs are friendly and helpful.
