It just a not so large statue but have history. You can come by and watch and take pictures. The view was so gorgeous as there was the huge blue sea for the background.

Many tourists know Copenage Siren, but very few know Mermaid Statue (Songkhla Mermaid) Specifically
Laem Samila beach, Thailand is full of culture, If you want a few Kilometers are the Wat Suan Mokkh most famous meditation temple of Thailand, not going to tell you friends
has done 10 days of meditation, since 70 x 100 applicants leave the second day

“Take a picture with the symbol of Songkhla”

The mermaid has been here for yonks; I had a picture as a small kid during a family trip 19 years ago; and I am back again for a picture with the mermaid. Expect many people to be taking a picture of the mermaid too.
After that, you can take a stroll to the other side of the beach for cheap and super fresh thai style seafood. Superb food!

“Small piece of Denmark in Thailand”

it was a meant to be an attraction, but somehow it had became a shrine. I saw flowers and offering were there.

It bring a smile to me and make me think of Hans Christian Anderson

“where is the mermaid?”

found it a bit difficult to find the place as there were no signboards. had to ask for the location. but once told, you can find the place easily.
