I stayed in Marlon twice, and both times I was impressed by how clean it was. The staff is friendly, and the food at their restaurant is really good. The restaurant in the main hotel is open for dinner, but Cocoa, their associated restaurant across the street, has great breakfast at a good price. The first hotel room I stayed in had noisy air conditioning, but that is really my only complaint. The showers were lovely, and there is WiFi available, but it is only really strong in the lobby. Luckily the lobby is a comfortable place to hang out.

Room Tip: The rooms are all very similar, overlooking the parking lot.

The hotel is clean and the airconditioning works. Just staying here as part of a tour. Not sure if this is a good location as our tour group left early in the morning. No Elevator which means you have to carry your bags up stairs. It had just rained so tiles were slippery. Not a good combination!

Nice big bed and efficient if noisy aircon.
Well situated near the port for onward transit
The reception is a bit dopey but they do have a safety box
At 575 I thought reasonable.
LPs cheapo suggestion of the hotel UCUM looked awful

We stayed here when it fist opened about 5 years ago and it was nice. We stayed there 2 or 3 times since and each time it looked more tired and the staff was less interested in helping. I said the last time I was there I would not go back but I found myself back there yesterday and it is so much worse. Holes in the walls, towels with tears in them, no water pressure, Never again.

Room Tip: Just don't stay here.....

On arrival, when comparing this hotel to its far grander cousin across the road, I have to admit to being sceptical.

There was no need. The beds are comfortable, the room is as large as we need. The bathroom is clean and modern. The pool is lovely, as is the courtyard. The restaurant (and wait staff) is fabulous. There is wifi throughout. It was a lovely pitstop.
