Probably the hotel doesn't invest in maintenance because you can find a lot of dust, oxide and dirty spots all over the place. No elevator so you will carry your own baggage all the way up.
The restaurant is also very regular and does not have good plates. Overprice for a very very regular hotel.
Location is the only good thing about it.

We stayed at Noor Hotel one night because our rental car wasn't ready. The staff was nice enough, but the first problem we encountered was no elevator so we had to haul all our luggage by hand up a flight of stairs. The room was nice, bright, and with a wonderful harbor view, but it smelled terribly of mold, like it hadn't been aired out for a long time. Other than that, a decent place to stay for the money. It is close to many restaurants and the main Chetumal shopping area. I would stay again, IF, the rooms are aired out!

Hotel is fairly, a short walk away from the main boulevard and across from Sam's club. It is a tad pricey for Chetumal standards but overall it's worth the price. Free wi-fi, you will get your money's worth.

Very sexy hotel in a California modern style with views of Chetumal bay from some rooms and a decent rate. No elevator and no decent breakfast but if you like style, fantastically soft and comfortable sheets, a big spacious rain-style shower, a balcony facing Chetumal Bay, WiFi, and a nice pool, then stay here. (Don't forget your mosquito repellent.)

And I highly highly highly recommend a day trip or even a night in Mahahual. Gorgeous warm ocean water, soft white sand, and amazing conch ceviche. Check out Cat's Meow for their pina coladas and cheesecakes.

I stayed in the Noor for one night on a Friday night. The room was clean and large. The bathroom was well stocked and large as well. The hotel is acceptable. Details below.

I was in room 301. It is the top corner unit facing the water. It has a large kind bed. The bed was remarkably comfortable, especially when contrasted with most Mexican beds that are as hard as rocks.
The shower is quite large, and there is plenty of hot water. In fact if a small village were to pile into a couple of cars and meet you in your room they could probably shower with you if you are into that sort of thing. Very spacious.

The location on the malecon is quite nice and it is close to the park of the Renissance. The view of the water is quite nice for those who come to the area for the water.

On the downside there is no desk in the room. It is simply not possible to work in the room. The internet connection does not reach the rooms. You can stand outside the door of the room and it works fine., if you go inside even with the door open it stops working. I tried it on the balcony and the connection was just OK. However since the sliding glass doors lock automatically when they close, and I closed it to keep the air conditioning in the room I was locked out on the balcony. Luckily some passersby were kind enough to tell the front desk for me. That may explain why one of the windows was cracked when I arrvied.
I was issued a generic remote control for the air conditioner. It did absolutely nothing I could fathom with the air conditoner except turn it on for fifteen minues and then beep when any button was pushed. I had to get a chair and stand on a chair to find the only button on the air conditioner mounted seven or eight feet from the floor. Luckily that did indeed turn it on for the entire night although I could have made ice cubes.

The sink in the bathroom is a bowl type sink, very decorative, completely useless; when the water is turned on it splashes out of the sink and all over everything.

This is a hotel for a couple having a weekend out, or perhaps a family coming to the shore, but not particularly well suited for business travelers. They did not have a breakfast in the morning that I know of, but then I did not want breakfast. They did have coffee which was quite good.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is not staying for business.

This is a cozy little hotel located just in front of the Chetumal Bay. The room we stayed had a great view and everything was clean and in place. The only thing that we missed was a nicer breakfast since the restaurant is not fully operating, (Remodeling) but we were told it will be open soon. All around the staff was very helpful and we enjoyed our stay.

Nice 4-star hotel with excellent views over the lagoon. Rooms are quiet and clean (and give a nice feeling). The hotel is a bit isolated, but Chetumal has a taxi culture. Take a taxi from place A to B, and you pay 15 pesos, if converted to USD or Euros, this still starts with a 0. The swimmingpool is a bit of a joke as it is in the shade the entire day.

The main problem with this hotel is that the breakfast is pathetic. Your choices are: (i) cornflakes, (ii) fruit or (iii) toast that has been put in a plastic container for half an hour. The face of every guest is changing when they see the breakfast for the first time. We ended up asking for fresh toast every day. On some occasions, it was re-heated toast.

The good thing of this hotel is the relatively expensive price (seriously). It is still cheap compared to Cancun, US or Europe, but the people who stay here are all business folks.....hence quiet (no drunk teenagers).

Summarising, four stars for the room and atmosphere, 4 stars for the location, 0 stars for the breakfast, hence an average of 3 stars.

Staff is a bit apathic and not spot-on. Breakfast till 10.00 means that you won't get anything at 10.10 (despite paying a lot of money for a couple of days).

Free WIFI in the rooms.
