I stayed for 2 nights while touring Mexico and Central America. Be prepared for a rough ride in getting there. I was met at the Guatemalan border by drivers from the Finca and was taken via Tapachula to a place called Zaragoza where I was transferred to a 4x4 vehicle. Although only about 10 miles from the Finca, this is where the adventure begins. The road is unpaved and very uncomfortable with travel only at about 5 miles per hour at times. The discomfort however is forgotten once you arrive at your destination where the welcome is most sincere. Stunning location in the Sierra Madre mountains overlooking Tapachula and Huixtla which light up well at night. The rooms in 3 outlying buildings with shared terraces are well sized with excellent en-suite
bathrooms. There is an excellent spa and swimming pool and a good restaurant serving good local food. Service is friendly and good but few of the staff speak any English. They try their best but even the English speaking guide assigned to me Cesar had limited understanding. A visit to the nearby flower producing Finca San Francisco was included. There was also a problem with the electricity supply for the first day / evening (non existent) but torches are provided in the rooms for this eventuality. Overall a unique and very pleasant experience with the good points far outweighing the negatives.
