“The best keeps getting better”

A great meal every time, with an amazing view out front. The kitchen is spotless (I've checked!) and the meals are just perfect. Fresh squeezed juice (by hand, right in front of you) and a meal for under $5 ?? How do they do it!

Perfect for families, kitesurfers and for fitness enthusiasts looking for a meal after yoga, crossfit or a regular workout.

A daily favourite!

“The conscious eater's paradise!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 January 2014

After an early morning of yoga overlooking the ocean, we decided to stay for breakfast and were beyond thrilled! With a gluten-free diet, it can be difficult to find good breakfast options beyond an omelet but with noted gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian options the menu was full of healthy, extremely tasty and affordable options! Even with a full house, you can enjoy a leisurely meal overlooking the kit surfers and horses that run along Kite Beach. It's worth the trek to visit this location over the one on Cabarete beach (which we also had lunch at). Highly recommend for a filling and healthy breakfast before or after your activities (the lunch options looked great as well!) (cash only)

“Go. You cannot go wrong!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 December 2013

Sonia and Franco are at it again with their new Mojito Extreme at Extreme Hotel on Kite Beach.

Hospitality appears to be in their blood. They are both always kind and helpful, and their food and drink are as good as at their place on the main beach, which is why they are so popular here, even though they just opened. The magic of the place is that you feel at home right away.

It is on the beach on a slight bluff right next to the surf that almost creeps up to the beach-side door. It has a perpetually great view of the expansive ocean and of the kiteboarders skipping across the waves, whether in the warm tropical sun, or the occasional, dramatic, tropical squall that passes by (without the kiteboarders).

The food is Italian light fare, which here includes breakfast. (And by-the-way, the place is vegetarian friendly.)

For breakfast try the aromatic and tasty crepe with Danish cheese, brie, ham, sautéed potatoes, croissant, fresh orange juice, (When they say fresh, they mean squeezed right then and there.) with coffee. It’s a feast at only 320 pesos. Or dine on scrambled eggs, turkey bacon, sausage, potatoes, pancake with syrup, fresh juice and coffee for 300 pesos.

Make a brunch out of breakfast by adding a milkshake with alcohol; for instance the Italia, made with Nutella (can’t go wrong there), banana, strawberries, the Dominican Republic's own turbinado sugar, milk and rum.

They now bake their own bread for the paninis.

And of course, their fabulous Mojitos at 120 pesos.

“brilliant”

Sonia and Franco bring their charm and expertise to their new restaurant and bar at Extreme Hotel in Kite Beach. The location and atmosphere are phenomenal, as it's right on the beach and you can watch the sea and the kite surfers all day without feeling crowded. Sonia is a sweetheart and will cater to your every wish. I am a vegetarian and she often customizes plates for me. The drinks and fresh juices (frozen pineapple!) and coffee are so yummy. I love the open-faced sandwiches, rice salads, fruit plates, and more. Highly recommend for any meal of the day, or just a leisurely drink in the afternoon or evening.

“Mojito Bar Extreme”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 December 2013

We visited the Mojito Bar Extreme three times and found it fabulous. Sonia is a joy.

Lunch selection is huge, plates plentiful and prices reasonable.

The juices are off the charts!
Also stopped by for cappuccino after yoga twice and it was delectable both times. I would bgo back in a heartbeat.
