What a superb restaurant. Every box ticked - a warm welcome by Jonathon, attentive service, but above all the food was the very best - excellent. The atmosphere is what restaurants should be, just the warmth and the noise of people talking - no music, what a pleasure. Truly great food

As a very regular customer to Quo I have to say wow what ever did we do before you came along - finally a restaurant that we can eat at, breakfast lunch and dinner!!!! Fantastic service, great atmosphere friendly and efficient staff and Jonothan Jones the gracious, charming and very accommodating owner..... always a special meal prepared for our son healthy and delicious. Great value and superb food cannot get better..... and it is with great trepidation and anticipation that we await our next meal at Quo

“Not sure what all the fuss is about !”
Reviewed 18 August 2013

I had visited Quo once before and wasn't blown away so it was with trepidation that I accepted an invite to have breakfast there recently. They are still in the same centre but have moved into the courtyard area of the small Gillitts centre. I have read the wonderful reviews on Tripadvisor and listened to my friends rave about the food BUT I must be honest, after experiencing it first hand - I really don't understand the hype. The filter coffee (which took ages to arrive) tasted ok but visually looked like a dark, stagnant pond which drew comments from all at the table. The service was very slow even though it was quiet. The menu was limited and the portions were tiny for the high price tag. In my opinion dumping huge quantities of leaves on top of your tiny sliver of bacon and eggs and having half a baby tomato as garnish doesn't qualify you to add R25 onto the price over and above what other restaurants charge in the area. The owner/manager (?) got my order wrong but was at least attentive. I can only assume that the local hype revolves around lunch and dinner but after such a mediocre breakfast, I am not sure whether I want to fork out higher than average prices for an attempt at 'third time lucky.'

“Refreshingly unique, exceptional dining experience.”
Reviewed 8 August 2013

A "must do" restaurant imho. A small footprint in a modest little centre that's kinda in no-mans-land - when it comes to centres - will have you wondering "how so?" on your first visit, but these very attributes define the character and atmosphere of Quo. It's not from the mould made for masses!

The stunningly attractive orchids which adorn the wall, the attentive staff and the cosy personal vibe frame the dining experience, but the food itself - oh the food - is what you'll go back for, over and over again. In the same way that the location belies what's inside, the menu too will not itself reveal the full culinary experience that will unfold. There are no pictures or posters trying to up-sell you on the kitchen's capabilities, just an honest modest description of the plate. So read carefully coz your choices are not traditional, and be prepared to be pleased.

You will go back.
