“A chill out and relaxing holiday this is the place.”
Reviewed 17 April 2010

We have recently come back from Thailand. We started our holiday in Krabi, originally we had planned to visit Phuket which I have been to some years ago but after we did a bit of research about Krabi, we have chosen Krabi over Phuket. We are glad we did as be both thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel. After we read all of the reviews on here we decided to make a reservation for 2nights and 3days. We were aware of the building work but most of the major work had been completed. We saw a few workmen but neither the work process and workmen, disturbed us at all. I believe the hotel will be complete in May'10 which will double the size of the hotel. One of the staff gave us a tour of the new part of the hotel before we left, the new reception area looked very big and modern. The new restaurant/breakfast area upstair has such an amazing sea view. There will also be a proper bar area by the new swimming pool.

Location of the hotel is away from any shops and restaurants which we knew about. So we did have lunch and dinner at the hotel which we enjoyed (esp. mixed seafood salad) and the price was quite ressonable. The location may be a bit isolated for some visitors but we think it makes the hotel very special, with a very quiet beach, clear warm sea and no interuptions while sunbathing by sitting on the beach.

We also did take an easy taxi ride into Ao Nang which took approx 20mins and was recommend by the hotel to a very good local seafood restaurant on the beach. The bars in Ao Nang were lively enough and mainly fully of couples.

We would highly recomend this hote and look forward going back next year.

We chose this hotel on the basis of Trip Advisor reviews and stayed for 3 nights at the start of our holiday to Krabi. our first impression was that the reception area is quite small, like a small office, unusual for a hotel of this quality. We were upgraded to an Jacuzzi villa. The hotel is very new and this room was hi tech, dvd player and lcd tv, mini bar, huge bed and a cathedral size bathroom. Many would call the room beautiful. It was certainly stylish but a bit minimalist for us with (typically Thai) lack of drawer space in such a big area. It had everything we required though and we had a great sleep in the A/C room

The hotel in built on a hill leading down to the sea and looking back from the beach is beautifully designed, and only one third complete! The ‘extension’ to the Tubkaek is almost complete and will triple the hotel size and the new reception will be housed in the extension. This also explains, presumably the poor dining area, just a roofed concrete pad beside the pool with a few tables and chairs. The pool is fine and the beach, quiet and private.

Now the down side. Because they were at low occupancy (there were only half a dozen people staying there), there was a very limited breakfast buffet and their cooked breakfast is temporarily a la carte, so you don’t get to see what you are eating till it’s served. There is no real bar area either, no bar to sit at and drinks are literally served ‘ from the kitchen’ to the dining area. I presume the new restaurant will be in the extension as will the new bar. We didn’t eat there but at the Tubkaak next door which has a beautiful garden restaurant and a lot of atmosphere.
It’s also pretty isolated, so if you are looking for somewhere to go during the day then you have to take a taxi, nowhere to walk to really. That for us was a disappointment

All in all the Tubkaek is work in progress. I,ve no doubt that when it is complete it will be fantastic but in its in between condition it just feels like that – unfinished.

For a 3 day stay, quiet and modern, it suited our purpose.

This has been my third time to Thailand after previously visiting Samui and Panghan,
I'm a fairly frequent traveler for leisure and was looking for a clean, quiet, romantic and luxurious resort to enjoy time with my fiancee and 3 other couples of friends.

Based on my previous Thai experience, I was looking to stay in a place thats not close and not far(about 20 minutes by car/motorbike) from the main tourist center so that I could enjoy both having a quiet spot to relax and an option for activities based on my immediate wishes.

I can say that Anyavee Tubkaek was absolutely perfect and fitting all of my needs.

It is located on a quiet beach with unrivaled views, great rooms and the staff was of the highest quality(If you are a first time traveler to Thailand I can only say that even if communicating in english is sometimes difficult there is absolutely nothing you will not get with a smile and some patience).

We where 4 couples in our late 20's and early 30's, I can say that the resort is great for families, mature couples and even younger couples. The place will not be too suitable for singles who prefer to be in the heart of the action but since when traveling with my girl we try to avoid the prying singles it was perfect for us:-)

The rooms- The hotel has a wide variety of room selection. All rooms are very clean and very spacious (big bed, day bed ,excellent showers and toilet). Our group stayed in the jacuzzi villas and pool access villas. The jacuzzi villa is close to the main pool and the pool access room is also close to the main pool but also has a shallow interconnecting pool between about 4 rooms which is very suitable for couples with young children . Our room had a LCD tv, although reading a book with some quiet music is my favorite,it was nice to watch football or a movie when we wanted .

The hotel- the hotel is built on a small slight slope with the rooms from top to bottom and infinity pool conveniately located by the beach and resturant. The area was very clean there was never a shortage of sunbeds or beach towels.

Food and service- the food in the hotel was excellent and varied, the prices are very good and unlike other hotels they dont overprice so you can order without being afraid of getting bankrupt. service to be honest was a tad slow but hey you are in thailand!! and quality is sufficiant to compensate for time waiting.

beach- beach in front of the hotel is clean with good area for suntanning, because of the low/high tides not always usable for a swim but take yourself 20 meters to the south and the water is deep enough for a good swim.

area- the hotel is situated in klong muang area, surrounded by other small luxury hotels. we all hired motorbikes so we can get around. About 7 minutes drive from the resort you have the seven eleven by the Sheraton which is nice spot to get your little food shopping, laundry , massage and whatever. In front of the seven eleven you have a small wooden hut, ask for Sam or Tot, they organize anything you want like elephant rides, island tours, motorbikes and i guess any wishes you might have in a great price.20 minutes further you have Ao Nang which is the main place in the area(shops restaurants etc)

This is my first time ever commenting on a resort so be sure i was very impressed and i hope that this place will succeed.

Mista Lon :-)

We stayed in this new resort with my family for three nights and wished it had been for much longer. This resort is situated away from Aonang on Tublaek beach and it is exactly what we were looking for. This resort is a place where you can totally unwind.

It has a clean less hectic beach on its doorstep and the standard of accommodation is definitely five star. Rooms are spacious and spotless. We had an excellent room and had good views of the beach from our window. The room that we stayed in was like a double size bedroom. Fantastic landscaped gardens.

Staff are always willing to assist.

Tip
For some good snorkelling, take a longtail for the day from the beach to Hong Island and other areas close to Hong.

Was part of a group of ten for a friends 40th brithday.

A very nice hotel with great staff. Service at times was slow however the hotel might not have been fully staffed due to the way the season was going (fluctuating occupancy numbers). It's location suits relaxation breaks rather than action ones due it being 30 - 40 minutes to Krabi town or Ao Nang which must be be visited at some stage if diving or night life is required. Other than that you will need to incorporate time on Phi Phi or one of the other islands.

Hotel is able to arrange private long boat to Ko Hong island which is gorgeous if you arrive early (before the masses arrive) It does get crowded!

I would stay there again as it is a beutiful hotel

We arrived 27th November 09 and met with big smiles and open arms. This is a place I could keep coming back to. Ill start with the building work at the hotel ....you dont notice it or any noise so dont let any other review bother you. Every menber of staff make you feel like their best friend and they are all so so helpful.....nothing is a problem.
The hotel itself is amazing from the moment you walk through reception to the time you leave. Rooms are huge and so comfortable.....best beds ever ! Surroundings are amazing and the views are so cool. What a place to wake up. Food is great and breakfast amazing.....great choice and quality ! The beach ranks very highly (its beautiful and well kept) and the water is so clear and warm ...best beach area in Krabi ! The hotel provides canoes free of charge and they give you an opportunity to explore the coast. Nothing much around the hotel which is great but a 5-10 min taxi gets you to an area with a good choice of small friendly places to eat and drink.
This place is next to the Amari Vogue and will soon be taking the number 1 spot in Krabi on Trip Avisor !
This is a real home from home ...the whole experience was 5 star and we cant wait to go back.
