Beyond Resort Krabi
Ranked #8 of 12 Hotels in Nong Thale
Reviewed 3 January 2014

PERSONAL COMMENT:
Last night we returned from an outstanding holiday at Beyond Resort Krabi.
Even if I still may be very positively influenced by our stay there, I'll try to mention the good and the bad within this review. But to let you know... there is not much to mention within " the bad" section. But it'll anyway be a long review describing every experience we made to give you best advises before booking.

It were some of the other international guests surprising us with bad behaviour, no style, taste and missing manners (or simply ignorance/arrogance), than I would find anything to say about hotel and the always friendly and well educated staff, giving their very best to make you feel happy and relaxed.
If you travel, you should always keep in mind that you are guest in their country, even if you pay for the stay. They are hard working for giving you the best they can with a smile in their face, even if it's 34-40 Degrees Celsius and you hang around on sunbed, pool and beach whilst they do 12 hour shifts. Further more, don't forget you are not alone and the only person staying there.
We were highly satisfied and full of respect for the hospitality and services delivered by all... management and staff.
Few things can be improved but as we got known to the general management, assistant management (FO & F&B) they do react immediately on your needs or problems if they are reasonable and you talk to them in a nice, not pollite way. There is no need to say nothing whilst staying there and write a bad review in tripadvisor (or equal) afterwards complaining about.

ARRIVAL:
The trip from Phuket Airport takes about 2,5 hrs. You can go by included shuttle if you have a Travel Agency Booking or by private Taxi... which price shouldn't exceed 2500 Baht one way. We made real good experiences by taking a private Taxi as you could rest and sleep after a long travel with no stops at other hotels to bring or pick up other travellers. In case you are interested in a very safe and well english speaking Taxi Driver , message me at foxygalore@web.de.

CHECK IN:
Late Arrival (at around midnight) at the hotel was very well prepared. The Nightshift Receptionist, a very friendly guy explained us everything important and we were offered a welcome drink and fresh exotic fruit salad to enjoy whilst sitting in an architectural stunning lobby with open area (no or opened windows) amazing seaview and sound, while our luggage was put on a TukTuk belonging to the Resort. All our luggage was brought to our Garden Villa No 2262 and carried upstairs, where the Nightshifter explained us all amenities.

VILLA:
Arriving in our Villa, a very spacious and nice room, with very high ceiling, well airconditioned ( I usually turn off air condition, but this time I was glad to have it as it is hot day and nighttime). The bed is very large in either direction and not too soft ( I prefer it slightly hard, so it met my needs). Pillows where soft and high. One big blanket for both... but we slept with a sheet only whilst the whole two weeks of our stay.
Next to bed you find a telephone, two lamps, powersockets, bedlight and two sidetables. The room has the shape of an" octagon" . In the room are as well two lounge chairs with lounge table, a long secretary table with flat screen tv and a mirror. You'll find Tea- and Coffee-Making-Facilities, daily complementary Drinking Water and a Minibar. A closet with hangers, an electronic safe, two umbrellas and a very usefull Beachbag inside.
The bathroom ist big with open shower, toilet, big mirror, some amenities and a hairdryer. You'll find Beach Towels (2)as well that get changed on a daily basis. For environmental reasons all other towels and bed sheets get changed upon request only.
The only remark to make is that there never was enough toilet paper.
So I told Housekeeping we always wanted an extra roll in the bathroom, which we eversince received. Further more ( if you are a woman in need) therenever were enough Sanitary Bags for a day.
Rest was really fine and comfortable... maybe a little dark for doing make-up.
The balcony was nice and clean as well with a table, two chairs, an ashtray , an outside light and a rack to hang out your wet clothes. Very usefull!
I can say there was nothing really missing in the Villa.

HOUSEKEEPING:
Housekeeping is doing a good job. Rooms get cleaned on a daily basis, except you don't want them to. We asked them to clean every two days and refresh bed sheets only three times a week which should be enough even on holiday. These three times we always placed about 20 Baht as a small thank you on the bed. Every extra wish got fullfilled --- like an iron and ironboard.
We experienced that laundry is a little cheaper at the massage salon next to the hotelbeach. 80 Baht per Kilo. So we brought everything there... but if you wish Housekeeping does Laundry as well.
All amenities were refilled whenever we've asked them to clean. I mentioned the toilet paper problem... well, asians in general seem to prevent the use of toilet paper as there is a handshower next to toilet. I could not get used to it, so I needed more paper. European habits I guess. Once told the Housekeeper there always was enough paper in place.

FOOD & BEVERAGE:
There is a Breakfast Cafe next Pool Area with spacious buffett inside and outside possibilities, and on lower level a very nice and loungy "@Beach“ Bar for Lunchtime at the Beach.
Both offer Event-Cooking several times a week. One mainly with a hugh breakfast buffet every morning which meets nearly everones taste... warm and cold dishes, cheese, meat and vegetables, cereals, juices, milk, sweets, cakes, buns, rolls, bread, toast, egg varieties, international breakfast dishes, beans, ham, potatoes, pancakes, wafers, you name it... it definately was in place.
Well decorated, always refilled and taken care of and the problem I read about with to few coffee machines is definately solved... enough machines, and waiters brewing and assisting in place.
Very clean and if I would feel the need to complain about anything it would only be the highspeed in which the waiters clean up your unfinished breakfast the moment you go for another plate of yummy fruit or even one more slice of bread to finish breakfast.... :)) ....but I don't feel the need to complain.. had the time and gave me reason to start over again ;).

The "@Beach" Bar offers a nice Lunch Combo including a Soft Drink or Local Beer, a Set Menu with Dessert . We enjoyed it's variety a couple of times. Good quality of Food and Snacks.
Further more you could choose from an International Menue Card or Thai Food Menue.
They offer Cocktails, and adorable Shakes and Juices of Exotic Fruit.
The view over the sea is amazing and the music played is not to loud or disturbing.
You are free to eat at the tables, the lounge sofas beachfront or the sundbeds between pool and beach area.
A few steps further down you find yourself in light sand on a private beach walking towards the sea... just lovely.

All Areas are extremly nice and clean... we did not see much that was broken or not kept well... well, at least by staff.

The entire hotel is cash free zone. You simply sign on your roombill by showing your key.
This does not apply to the small souvenir shop beside Cottages next to the Main Entrance. This is cash only zone.

BEACH & POOL AREA:
The Beach is very clean and very nice as it gets cleaned every morning.
The Sea is nice and clear, no reef in front of the hotel, so not too many fish, but if you snorkel you'll see a few. Longtailboats stay there in the morning and daytime waiting for guests to take on a trip. We made real good experience with a Captain called Mr. Hu who is somehow a Thai Bob Marley with a Bob Marley Flag and Rebel Flag on his Boat "Nochrooo".
He took a lot of time for us, even if we were only two guests, showed us beautiful not too touristic spots, where we could relax on islands nearly by ourselves. We did not go with other Captains, but I guess, they are all very good too.
Pool Area is clean and nice as well with a large infinity pool and Whirlpools inside. Water is warm... and clean.
You'll find enough Sunbeds and Sunbrellas ;) ... in case other guests did not block them without beeing present. Anyway... in situations like that we experienced staff helping out bringing more sunbeds. We heard about a guest complaining about sand in the pool.... well... we could not see much sand in there and if .... it was brought there by wind and for sure some children jumping from beach to pool. So same here... don't moan... please relax .... it's all very clean and taken good care of.

GARDEN:
The Garden is kept very well, with a lot of palms, trees, bushes, and asian flowers with blossoms.
The only insects you see are a few centipedes on the ground, some mosquitos (but way less I expected there to be), some butterflies, and geccos at night.
Overall a very nice place.

SPA:
The Spa is a relaxing place. Kept very well by Spa Management and team. They offer a lot of relaxation with different facials, skin treatments, manicure, pedicure, jacuzzi and more... just make a selection. It's worth it.
For those who enjoy massage, there is a seperate area at pools and beach, where spa ladies offer a relaxing and nice outdoor massage. Appointments need to be made.

ACTIVITIES:
There is a lot you can do in this area of Thailand.
Just to name a few: Rock Climbing, Scuba Diving, Snorkeling, Rafting, Cave Diving, Cave Climbing, Fishing, Elephant Riding, Rainforest Experiences, visiting Waterfalls and natural Emerald Pools, Cobra Shows, Cabaret Shows and Nightlife, visit Markets in Ao Nang, and Krabi Town (Nightmarket as well), Massages and Relaxation, Longboat Tours and Island Hopping and many many many more....
Within the Hotel there are Guest Relations Managers who offer a variety of activities to book or inform yourself. You'll find them in an Office at Reception/Lobby. We planned all Activities on a private basis but were informed by them how to do this, where to go and where or what to pay attention to. Very helpfull.

For Scuba Divers we highly recommend SCUBA ADDICTS in Ao Nang Main Street near Center Point. Very good place run by two german guys with locals and a lot of experience. We made a trip with them and it was safe, very good organized, took us to lovely local spots with many fish, nice reef and even if we are not scuba pros, they took very good care of us even underwater.
Elephant Trekking was really amazing.... for those who love these animals like I do, a must do when staying in Thailand. I personally will never ever forget this close experience feeding and touching them and the look in their friendly eyes.

As the south of Thailand is mainly Islamic you don't find many "Wat" ( Temples ) around but many more Mosques and hear the Imam praying 5 times a day through loudspeakers (starting 5.30 h in the morning for about 5 Minutes). It was strange to me in the beginning as I expected there to be more Temples and Buddha Statues than you will get to see.... but the Famous Tiger Cave and Temple is worth going.

SPECIAL OCCASIONS (WEDDING, BIRTHDAY, XMAS, NEW YEARS' EVE)
BEYOND Resort offers everything you need for celebrating an amazing party.
Romantic Wedding Ceremonies at the Beach,
Birthday Surprises in Room/Villa
Xmas Parties for all guests at Beach and Pool Area, same as New Years' Eve Party with music, show, dancers, luckydraw, fireworks and stunning Buffets (all this not included , extra booking needed whilst staying there)
Express your wish they will do everything to fullfill it as we've seen.
And we've done and seen everything mentioned above.
Only one thing we'd like to mention here..... Parties stop very early...like around 1 o'clock everything stops and get's disassembled and set up for breakfast in the morning.. at 2 o' clock you would not tell there had been a party. We found this very amusing, but this seems to be normal wherever you are in this region.
Wedding parties are the same... stop after dinner.. no big celebration or dancing 'til sunset..
But very nice organized and decorated.
On the otherhand long and loud parties may disturb guests not participating.

MANAGEMENT & STAFF:
BEYOND Resort Krabi is belonging to Katagroup Hotels.
The Management of the Hotel seems very professional and good. Whilst our stay we got twice invited to a weekly Management Cocktail where we got known to all Departement Heads. All of them were asking if there was anything they should improve to make our stay even more comfortable. Whatever we had to say was improved the day after with immediate effect. Management is very kind... the General Manager Claude ( European ) same as the Front Office Manager Oliver, same as F&B Manager Mr. Moo and his Assistant Mr. Nang and all other Heads we met there too. They really pay a lot of attention whenever they see you.
All of them speak real good english and some other languages too...

Staff is mostly Thai or Philippine People, speaking more or less good english but always understand. They're all very very friendly, thanking you for everything, even if you complaint and would never ever say no to anything you ask them to, even if they can not provide or know how to....
We've never seen so friendly staff anywhere paying so much attention. ALL of them were so nice, that we could not say who earns the most respect of us, as they are all really hard working people who never moan or complain or show they are tired, and they are for sure.
Just to name a few we really felt very comfortable with and know their names.... Mr. Dol and Mr. Brix and Mr. Sak from F&B and @Beach Bar, Mrs. Rora and Mrs. Safa from Spa, Mr. Oliver from Front Office who fullfilled every wish right away and gave big help to us whilst our stay. THANK YOU ALL in case you'll read this.
Management is constantly training them to Guest Needs and Habits.... so forgive them if they maybe did something not the way you wanted them to and tell management for next training excersises. Do not yell at staff please.

INTERNATIONAL GUESTS & FAMILIES
We've seen guests from all countries... Europeans, Asians, Americans, Australians... well maybe less Africans. It's a very international Hotel with many different customers having many different habits and needs. BEYOND Resort manages well to satisfy them all.....
We've seen Singles, Couples, Families ( with one or more children), young, mid-aged and old people, as well as handicapped grown-ups and children.
Beyond took care of everyone in the best way they could. Respect for that.

Personally I prefer a quiet place with not too many little children around as they (it's in their nature) run around a lot, shout around a lot or even worse, scream and cry, jump in the pool and are noisy...... with mostly parents mostly not beeing that interested.
The Hotel was sold to us as "Hotel for Couples" to Honeymoon and Relax....
Well, I can tell it's different around Christmas and New Year when Families from all around the world take over BEYOND Resort and there is nothing more important to them than the freedom and wishes of their own child. If you look for a really quiet and romantic place - be warned. Xmas is not the time of the year for such!
As there is no Area for Kids (no playground, no Kids Pool or anything beside... you'll have them around all day and everywhere. Don't get me wrong... I like children... if they are well educated, not to small and taken good care of by their parents or a nanny. I point out that this is my own understanding of relaxation.

We've heard there is an only aged 18+ BEYOND Resort somewhere in Phuket. So if you want to stay without families with small children around it might be worth checking this out, or simply travel to Beyond Krabi when there are no school holidays or any other holidays around.
What we disliked from some of the other guests was their behaviour (see personal comment in the beginning of the review). Their way to treat staff, not tipping them well or even at all, sitting at lunchtables with nothing on but wet bikini or swimdress, or shorts whilst others try to enjoy their lunch besides them. Hang around in the pool with beerbottles, bringing their own food and drink to the beach and pool area. This all shows bad behaviour and no manners.
As we experienced everywhere around the world people can't enjoy their holidays without blocking sunbeds with towels in the morning for hours and before going to breakfast or even back to bed.
It is same in this hotel ... but... we never did such.... and we found a sunbed anyhow.
So we kindly ask to stop this bad habit in case you are doing this yourselve!
This is somehow ignorant and shows how EGO you are......

As a kind advise we'd like to say further more to try at least to learn "Hello" (Sawasdee kaa (if you are female)/kap(if you are male) and Thank you (Kop kun kaa/kap) in Siamese/Thai Language to show some respect to them too. Use it whenever possible as they do the same. They will appreciate you trying this..... even more if you learn the "WAI". (Formell salutation)

EARLY MORNING CHECK OUT:
The Check-out at 5 o'clock a.m. was no problem at all. The bill was prepared and ready to check, everything fine.. no extra charges we weren't aware of... and the best thing... a Breakfast Box to take with us was well prepared, containing sandwich, fruits, juices, and sweets. This without asking for it in advance. This was really nice and careing of them. Luggage was picked up in the Villa and transported to the Lobby where our private Taxi was already waiting for us. No worries at all!

SECURITY:
The Hotel is well secured day-and nighttime. There are security guards at the main entrance of the hotel and at night you'll sometimes see them walking through the Villa gardens and beach area checking. We never felt insecure. We don't think they are really needed, as you'll never feel unsave, but it's good that they are there just in case.......

INTERNET & WIFI:
There is an Internet Lounge at Reception Lobby, with three stations to use free of charge.
Otherwise you will have free WIFI whereever you stay in the Resort.. Villas, Cottages, Gardens, Pool, Beach, Restaurant... it works everywhere but sometimes due to occupancy it's a little slower than you might be used to at home. Anyway .... you're on holiday and it works. So don't moan .... ;).... enjoy!

SURROUNDING:
In Front of the Hotel or a 10 Minutes Walk in both ways you'll find a few souvenir or local shops, restaurants, tailors and others. Very touristic and to meet international taste. Anyhow we've spent some lovely evenings outside there at for example: The Terrasse, SabaiBa Bar, Baanthai, and The Long Table. All offer very nice food , very good service with very fair prices, and clean ambiance with typical decorations. All worth a try.
A seven Eleven Supermarket is a ten minute walk away from the Resort, open 24 hrs a day.
The next cities close to the Resort are Ao Nang and Krabi Town.
Both worth a visit but very touristic. Anyhow we prefered Ao Nang, the closer one.
It's about 15 Minutes drive by Taxi ( Baht 500 one way) and if you book them to take you back same price for return. Once fixed they really wait for you in time and place.

You'll find some more reviews about all mentioned above in my account on Tripadvisor within the next couple of days.
In front of the Hotel and close to Seven Eleven you'll find two Custom Tailors and many more of them in Ao Nang, they do good work for fair prices. We did well by choosing the one in front of the Resort ( Andaman Tailors).

Visiting Ao Nang, take a look at Scuba Diving, or at the restaurants along beach at the very end and leading away from the Main Road ( follow the balloonlights) . A BBQ at the Last Fisherman or a Good Blues and Guitar Live Act with nice Drinks at the PharangInn Bar. (Funny Name= ForeignerInn).
Not miss the Blue Dragon Show every night (in Peak Season) at 3rd Floor Center Point. It's worth it you'll have so much fun... even children with parents can go and see.... very nice, very well done and big fun too.

PERSONAL STATEMENT:
We as a couple were guests at BEYOND Resort Krabi in Dec. 2013/Jan. 2014.
This review is our personal statement and opinion about our stay in this hotel.
We were not offered any reward or any other in writing this statement online. We did this solely because we've spent a wonderful time with adorable people caring for us and want to show respect and recognition by writing this here or anywhere else in www.
If you have same or different opinion about your stay at BEYOND Resort Krabi feel free to do so and/or review likewise.

Further more we want to point out that not all of the guests staying at BEYONG Krabi were as described above. We've as well met very nice people from all around the world and made some new friendship there with hope to last..... so enjoy and just have a very good time !!!

Room Tip: Garden Villas First Level are worth every "Baht" ... due to very good architecture noone c...

Hi everyone. This is My 1st review. we just finished our Honeymoon trip and beyond was the 1st hotel where we stayed. Hotel is exceptionally good. I liked it most out of other 3 hotel we stayed. Lobby view is very nice the moment you enter the lobby you feel like you are in some other world. They gave us a free upgrade while checking so a royal treatment from the check in moment.. You will not be disappointed by the breakfast options i like it most and moreover beach bar prices and dinning prices are also reasonable. they have daily shuttle service for ao Nang beach also.Staff were very friendly, the only thing i dint like was in travel desk service were over priced as you can easilyget good deal from the city,

Room Tip: Go for Beach Facing rooms. there Villas are very good

Dear Sir,

Thank you very much for your extensive feedback on Tripadvisor and for your valuable recommendations. We are glad to read that you enjoyed the facilities and services at the resort. Thank you for all your kind comments about the team and also for your “excellent” score.

Your description of the Cottage room is accurate and probably the way the large majority of our guests and also the many, many travel agents who visited the property over the last 18 months would define them.

Thank you again and we hope we will get the opportunity to welcoming you back to Beyond Resort Krabi in the not too distant future and provide you with another great relaxing beach holiday.

Kind regards,
Claude & the Beyond Resort Krabi Team

The Beyond Resort is a really great location to stay.Beautiful architecture , clean rooms and a wonderful calm beach.
But there are a few things to improve:
1.)why did I get no answer to my e-mails and if I asked for a seaview room on a high level,
I got one on the first floor?
2.) the friendliness of some members of the stuff, specially at the egg station and pool bar.
or is it a lack of english knowledge?
3.)happy hour-cocktails are served without decoration and nearly no alcohol inside,
4.)shuttleservice to aonang should be more often and without charge.

Room Tip: sea view deluxe room on a high floor

Dear Andrea,

Thank you very much for your feedback on Tripadvisor.

I am sorry to see that there were a few unresolved issues during your stay. Could you kindly send me the e-mail you sent to our Resort prior to your arrival as a message on Tripadvisor so I can check what happened. Thank you.

I have again spoken to our Executive Chef about getting a “smile” on the faces of our cooks at the egg station. A lack of English communication skills and possibly uneasiness when being directly in front of guests take a toll on their confidence and their smiles. We are working on it.

Thank you also for your comment on the Happy Hour Cocktails. These are to be prepared based on the same recipe and decoration as during any other time of the day. I am sorry if this was not the case during your stay.

The frequency and timing of the shuttle bus is convenient for most of our guests. Increasing the trip would unavoidably have an impact on the price.

Thank you again and we hope we will get the opportunity to welcoming you back to Beyond Resort Krabi in the future.

Kind regards,
Claude & the Beyond Resort Krabi Team

Where do i even start?
Staying currently at beyond, we are having a tribal Experience! We cant believe we paid 150$ per night here, if we hadn't booked a room for 5 nights prior to our arrival we'd be out of here!

Rooms- we are staying in one of the cottegs, which is far away from the main building and facilities (like i said more like "behind" not "beyond"). In our reservation the hotel didn't mentioned the cottegs are so far away, we knew its not in the main building but its really a distance and i think it should be mentioned in their website, for us (22-23) its ok but if someone older book this room it could be very hard walking every time to the room from pool, beach, restaurant area.

-Maintenance of room is poor, towel holder was poorly installed and almost collapsed from the towel weight! Called reception and someone came to fix it.
- when we came back from the pool we wanted to take a shower, the housekeeping did not fill out soup, we had to wait for someone to come and fill it
-after noon there is NO HOT WATER in the shower, when we called hotel staff to solve this problem all they had to say was "hotel is in full capacity so only warm water not hot" what is that supposed to mean??? How come a hotel that claims to be 4* doesn't have hot water 24 hours?

Our Disappointment continued due to bad service- very little english
The staff at the beach bar restaurant is not helpful at all, no one looks around to see if any of the guests need something.

We set for 15 min and waited for service, they basically ignored us, they saw us waiting and did not approach to us, we got up and want eating outside the resort.

- one of the bar staff named ״ton" was particularly unpleasant and rude he just tossed the menu at us, was completely ignoring us, hated us for no reason! Was making "faces" it was directed to the both of us, towards everyone else he smiled, no idea why he hated us.

-not enough waiters walking around pool area to see if anyone would like to order something

- pool is nice and big but sometimes dirty from sand and leafs.

-sun beds has got a mattress on them but it is not tied to the bed so its Uncomfortable because it keeps slipping off.

-toilet in the pool is not clean at all

-beach is ok

Breakfast- is good and varied.
Saw the same staff from the bar at night in breakfast, i don't understand how employing some one for so many hours is legal no wonder the staff looks tiered all the time.

Two things that were nice was
1) "bee" one of the staff that booked us a ferry and was super nice and pleasant, also had a good english
2) the massage we got on the beach from "ma" and "safa" was really good!

Would not go back, would not recommend! This is not a 4* hotel

Needs a lot of improvement!

Dear Sir,

Thank you for having posted some comments while you were still staying with us.
We regret that that you chose a web-site as the best tool of communication with the resort to voice your concerns. We have a large team of mid and senior level managers on the resort and during this time of the year, most of us here daily and during long hours. I regret that you chose not to give the management a chance to address these issues with you directly and that you prefer to keep your anonymity.

During the year end’s Peak season, resort prices are higher than at any other time of the year. Currently many 3* resorts and guest houses in the area charge 150US$ or more a night and they have by far not the same quality facilities as Beyond Resort Krabi offers.

Our standard reservation correspondence focuses on the booking details. More information and a detailed description are sent on request and a lot of information is available on-line. Many of the reviews on Tripadvisor are also a good source of information. Just for your information, we do offer a transfer service from the lobby to the cottage rooms and back to the lobby which a lot of our guests take us up on and appreciate it. Other guests enjoy the short stroll.

After feedback from a few guests, we have realized that there is an issue with the towel rack wall fixture in the Cottage rooms. This has only come up in the very recent past and we are looking at a better repair and also at replacing faulty units as soon as possible. Please accept my most sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused by this also for not having refilled the “soap” in your bathroom. The hot water system should provide constant high temperature in all rooms. We are checking it right now.

The service levels are unfortunately getting stretched during certain times of the day. Please accept my most sincere apologies for this. All the staffs are working hard to ensure the best service is delivered but there may occasionally be some delays. As explained in other reviews, the English level of the service personal in this area is not as high as in other parts of Thailand. However, there always is staff with a good English level around to assist. You stated that one particular staff was smiling at everybody except at you. Please do let me look into this.

Please be assured that our work conditions and working hours strictly adhere to the local labor laws. Service personal do get appropriate breaks and they get properly compensated for any over time.

The cleaning frequency of the bathroom near the pool is being increased. I would not qualify the sand and some leaves in the pool as “dirt”. The sand is coming from guests not using the foot wash or taking a shower prior to entering the pool. The swimming pool is being vacuumed daily and the water values are checked twice a day. The quality of the water is maintained on a stable and high level.

You qualified our beach just as “ok” whereas most other of our guests simply adore it.

Please accept my most sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused. While we understand your disappointment and your anger, it is regretful that the issues you encountered had such a dramatically negative impact on your stay with us and that we had no opportunity to address these.

Kind regards,

Stayed there for 4 days. Service is top notch! Everyone is so friendly and helpful..!! Not only that, the assistant manager Oliver was very patient with us and introduce all the important aspect of our sea view room. The view from the reception and our room is beyond words. No wonder they name the resorts Beyond Resort. Highly recommended for anyone whom want to enjoy a out of the hustle and bustle trip. Be prepared that it's far from Ao Nang. But outside the resort have all the basic needs of a minimart, massage and extremely fabulous Thai food (Bann Thai). Try their seafood too! Fresh, cheap and good!

We stayed in one of the cottages. The room was spacious, with a small outdoor area. It was ok decorated. But one could see that the construction quality was not the best... Regarding the cleaning, it could have been better: as sand was already on the floor when we arrived.
Then, another issue we saw was the fact that we couldn't sit outside the room and keep the air conditioning on, as the key used for it was the same to open the door...
Apart from that, the room was comfortable.
We were supplied with clean beach towels every day and also got a beach bag to use during our stay.

The breakfast buffet was good with a variety if Thai dishes and continental breakfast.

The pool was nice too. We had no troubles finding a sunbed, but not sure how it would be in high season...

Regarding location, the beach was just in front. In general, it was very peaceful with few people passing by.
Just behind the resort, there were several restaurants, which kept us from going back to the hotel restaurant, which was ok, but too pricey.

The staff was very friendly. But we had small difficulties speaking English with a few. Nevertheless, it never caused us any issues.

Overall, it was a nice relaxing holiday. The resort is good, but they need to pay more attention to some details to make it better. So, there is still quite some room for improvement.

Dear Sir,

Many thanks for having taken the time to post a review on Tripadvisor.

Thank you also for all your comments and recommendation. We are sorry to see that there were some maintenance and cleanliness issues in your room. I will continue to work with the team to ensure that this can be avoided in the future. Please accept my apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Thank you for your comment on not being able to keep the door open and the air-conditioning running at the same time. Leaving the air-conditioning running while not in the room does unnecessarily consume electricity. Like for any air-conditioned spaced, all windows and doors should be closed to avoid the air-conditioning unit from taking in too much warm which would end up in a surplus of condensation, possibly a water leak and ultimately cause the unit to break down. I am sorry if this system caused any inconvenience.

We are pleased that you in general did enjoy your stay. Please be assured that we continue to work hard to further improve the performance of the team.

Thank you again for having taken the time to share your feedback with us. We will be delighted to have the pleasure of welcoming you back to Beyond Resort in the future.

Kind regards,
Claude & the Team

Stayed at Beyond Krabi for 2 weeks Nov/Dec this year. What can I say...absolutely fabulous resort. All staff were friendly and couldn't be more attentive and helpful. Got to know them all very well. Oliver the manager was friendly and the slightest problem was dealt with immediately and without question.
We too ate at one of the local restaurants but also used the lunch time bar menu and room service a few times. Every meal we had was beautiful and couldn't be faulted. Thoroughly enjoyed Happy Hour each day, cocktails were delicious and staff accommodated our requirements and made the perfect Cosmo for me.
We stayed in the cottages, and yes they are 'concrete boxes' as another reviewer writes, but they are set in amongst stunning flora and fauna. Rooms are modern and spacious. With all the amenities you need. Our morning stroll took about 5 minutes and set us up perfectly to feast on the wonderful buffet breakfast laid out every morning.
We took one excursion arranged by the resort. Elephant trekking. Great few hours and reasonably priced. If you are on a tight budget then yes this resort may not be for you. But if you want to fully relax, do nothing and be waited on then this is the place for you. We both relaxed and re charged our batteries and thoroughly lapped up the luxury. We will return.

Room Tip: Cottages are lovely and a very short walk from main building. Very quiet.

Dear Sarah,

Thank you very much for your extensive feedback on Tripadvisor and for your valuable recommendations. We are glad to read that you enjoyed the facilities and services at the resort. Thank you for all your kind comments about the team and also for your “excellent” score.

Your description of the Cottage room is accurate and probably the way the large majority of our guests and also the many, many travel agents who visited the property over the last 18 months would define them.

Thank you again and we hope we will get the opportunity to welcoming you back to Beyond Resort Krabi in the not too distant future and to provide you with another great relaxing beach holiday.

Kind regards,
Claude & the Beyond Resort Krabi Team
