The resort is located about 30 minutes from the airport and we were able to easily get a taxi from there. We were made to feel right at home as soon as our taxi stopped in the driveway. From the warm welcome, the quick and efficient check in, to the short but sweet tour of the property, we knew we had made a good choice.
We had a Deluxe room and while it was smaller than I had expected, it was still more than sufficient for our needs. Well appointed with comfortable beds and seating, a spacious wardrobe and the oh so wonderful open air bathing area. It was the little things that made us love the room - like the ample amount of toiletries, the coffee maker, the beautiful balcony overlooking the pool.
They are expanding their restaurant and had construction work going on but we were given a room well away from the restaurant and we never had a problem with the noise although we spent the entire day there.
We enjoyed the food at the Arundina. We ate there twice at lunch and once at dinner time. The menu was varied, authentic and frankly quite good. We are used to late dinners and therefore we were the only diners at around 10 PM, but the live band continued to play just for the two of us and the staff was not negligent in its service at all. We stuck to the thai dishes and did not regret our decision.
The staff at the reception helped us get a car on rent and they were most helpful with suggestions for tours etc, even offering us weather information so we don't spoil our plans.
Unfortunately, we had to cut short our trip and return home for an emergency. The staff was very understanding and they charged us very nominally for cancelling our reservations. They helped us plan the few hours we had left there so we could make the most of our time.
All in all, my husband and I have promised ourselves that we are coming back to Krabi and definitely staying at the Tubkaak again. It was absolutely wonderful an experience.

If you really want to relax and discover the nature of south Thailand, forget Pukhet or other places and meet the crabs at the beautiful beaches and environment of this lovely and quiet place. Don't miss hong island, or go for kayaking in one of the manglars, trek in one of the beautiful rainforests. All the area is amazing, and the staff of the hotel will help you organizing everything.

We spent 4D3N at Tubkaak in August 2012 and it was a fantastic experience. The resort has a beautiful natural landscape with direct access to a private beach. The room is spacious and clean and we totally love the open bath area. The only drawback is its location, it is pretty isolated from Ao nang and some tour agencies are not able to pick us up from the resort. I will recommend this resort to those who prefer a quiet and peaceful stay away from the city.

My boyfriend & I went and stayed there for 4D/3N... and we enjoyed it alot. The resort was very nice, small yet very unique! Since it's their low season there, so the resort didnt have full occupancy (i.e. more privacy & attention). The view there is as nice as the professional pictures shown here... the only downside is the beach right out there was not really swim-able, too many shells & rocks.... and it's too shallow. We rented a car, and I think that's a very good choice too!!

We stayed at Tubkaak Resort for four nights in early August 2012 at the start of our honeymoon. The resort itself is isolated, but suited us perfectly. It was nice to have downtime at the start of our two week holiday travelling around Thailand.

The resort is located about 30 minutes from the Krabi airport, or 15 minutes from Ao Nang. The resort provides a shuttle into Ao Nang three nights per week - leaving Tubkaak at 6pm and returning around 9pm. Ao Nang has a variety of shops and restaurants, so the option is there if you choose it.

We also did a day trip to Koh Phi Phi, "The Beach" and Bamboo Island. Too many people for my liking, and we couldn't wait to get back to our relaxing resort!

The resort itself is amazing! We had a Deluxe Room which was located upstairs looking out over the pool. The room was spacious with every last thing thought of. Our highlight was the Nespresso coffee machine for that pre-breakfast coffee! The contents of the fridge (drinks) were free, but you would pay for any restocking requested. There was a stereo into which you could plug your ipod, and a decent TV (the olympics were on while we were there so we watched it occasionally!). We were told the rooms had recently been renovated, and they looked amazing. We had an outdoor bathtub and shower, which were gorgeous.

We spent a lot of time around the pool at the resort - it was a lovely area. The gym was more than adequate for a holiday workout.

The restaurant and bar area looked out over the beach - the food and service were amazing. The staff were so lovely and attentive, without being over the top.

The beach itself was nice for a wander, although the only negative thing I would say is it broke my heart to see the rubbish on the beach. Out the front of the resort is cleared each day by the Tubkaak staff, but if you went further afield, there was always rubbish (plastic bottles etc) along the high tide line. Unfortunately we found that was the case throughout Thailand, and not just there in Krabi.

All in all, Tubkaak Resort is amazing, and somewhere that we will definitely be returning to some time soon.

When out in a long tail, you can barely see the resort which says a lot about this place and how it merges into the coastline. Great accomodation, pleasant staff. Heartily recommended. Watching the terms come in at night whilst sipping a Singha was a highlight.
