Amazing resort with wonderful staff members. The resort is perfectly clean and well maintained. Their concept of living in nature is perfect for those wanted to escape from a busy lifestyle. A must for honeymooners in Krabi...

We have just got back from staying here for a week as part of our honeymoon - what a beautiful hotel it is! The location is stunning - the view from the beach/restaurant is breathtaking, especially when supping cocktails during happy hour watching the sunset! The room was lovely, very clean and serviced at least 3 times a day and the view of the pool from our balcony was great. The staff were amazing - so friendly and helpful and they went to the effor to remember our names, a small but nice touch.

Don't go to this hotel thinking that there is anything there other than the hotel - if you want a variety of bars and restaurants then this is NOT for you (Ao Nang is very lively, about 20 mins away) - this is a perfect location for couples who want a peaceful and relaxing break. The food in the restaurant is great - and I recommend the cooking lesson!!

The only critisicm they I have is that there is a lot of building work going on to extend the hotel - you can't see it as it is discreetly hidden, but at times the constrcution noise was a little annoying and spoilt what was otherwise total peace and quiet. They have only just started and it looks like it will be going on for a while.

Other than that the hotel is fantastic - a lovely quiet location with amazing views, and superb staff. I just wish we didn't have to come home!

Room Tip: We stayed in an upper room (not sure what they are called!) and it was worth it - the balconies on t...

3 days of absolute dream and relaxation in this fabulous boutique hotel / resort...
Of course, the price is not what I would call affordable. Of course, the hotel is a bit far from the main tourist attractions. But after all, that's what makes it so special, so far from the mass-tourism of Thailand. The view from the private beach is to die for (esp. sunsets!!!). The outdoor restaurant food and atmosphere is really special. The (deluxe) rooms are spacious, clean, cosy & classy. I especially enjoyed the outdoor shower & terrace w pool view.

If I had to complain about anything, I would say :
1/ the front lobby is professional but a bit cold at times
2/ the a/c vents are noisy outside the rooms and tend to spoil the quietness of the place
3/ We came from Phuket town to this hotel and was advised by the reservation to arrange transportation by car for THB4300, when in fact, after a little research, all we paid was 700THB per person, including taxi from hotel to Phuket pier-boat from Phuket to AoNang pier & taxi from Ao nang to the hotel... An honest advice on how to save money on this transfer would have been appreciated !!!

We spent a week in the hotel at the beginning of February 2013 for the second year in a row. We appreciated perfect service and very polite and helpful staff. A convenient hotel for those who prefer a quite place without disco or night life. The room was always clean. The food, a bit too expensive, but delicious. We were lucky that the construction of the first floor of Arundina Restaurant was over when we arrived while the construction of the new villas on the left side did not start by the time we left. The beach was quite, the Andaman sea perfect although we came accross jellyfish a few times. We'd love to come again for the third time. A couple from Prague, Czech Republic.

Do yourself a favour and spoil yourself by staying at this most beautiful place on earth. We chose this place to get married and from the moment we arrived in the open air foyer we were so impressed in every way from the efficient correspondence via e-mail prior to our visit to the delicious food served in the restaurant.
Every aspect was out of this world. The staff there was so accommodating, all the time.... nothing was ever too much trouble, and they even remembered our names! When speaking to the staff it was as if we were the only guests there. Our wedding was like something you only dream of, with the most beautiful ambiance, a view of the turquoise water and islands to die for and abundant fresh flowers. The rooms were very well designed with stylish furnishings and the latest technology, the outdoor baths were a great form of relaxation as was the spa treatments. The grounds were lush with tropical plants and vines and peaceful water features. The restaurant/bar had a great atmosphere and view, oh...did I mention the mouth watering food, terrific variety at breakfast and amazing cocktails at happy hour watching the sun set?
You can choose to relax and do absolutely nothing like lazing around by the pool, or relaxing on a bean bag on the beach soaking up the sun and ocean views. Or fill you day by taking a boat ride to one of the many islands, go snorkeling, hire a motor scooter and go sight seeing or shopping in to Au Nang or Krabi town. The list is endless.
We will definitely be returning here.... totally out of this world!

Room Tip: Garden rooms are affordable, tasteful, quiet and relaxing......

This was our third trip to the Tubkaak Boutique Hotel. We were greeted as old friends, which was nice and as always when we arrive it feels like someone has pulled the stress plug and you instantly relax. I have nothing but priase for the manager and his staff who are friendly, helpful and keen to please. We were given the same room which was lovely and overlooked the pool.
We ate at the restaurant every night having on previous trips had some pretty awful food outside the resort. The food is excellent, my husband having a five course breakfast daily! The food seemed more expensive on this trip which may have been the result of a weak pound but it was still good value for money. I love the restaurant which is on the edge of the beach and on our last night the staff set up a table for us on the beach which was lovely.
The only two flys in the ointment is that the beach is now much busier than it used to be as three more resorts are now open on the same stretch, so not so peaceful as it used to be.
I was also sorry to learn that the Tubkaak are adding 16 more rooms on the adjoining site which will make the pool, beach and sitet even busier and perhaps a struggle to get a sunbed by the pool. I understand the business need but am afraid that in expanding in this way the resort will loose its very special personal and cosy touch and make the resort less attractive and its made us think twice about going again .

If the world were to end tomorrow, I want my last day to be spent here. Why? The staff ate super friendly and professional. Well trained in every way. The view from the beach looking at the limestone cliffs unforgettable. The food well prepared and not overly expensive. No pesky beach sellers to annoy you.

Okay, all of this comes at a bit of a price. Some of the beech view rooms need deep pockets to be affordable. But, have a splurge and try at least one night here in just a standard room. It wasn't on my bucket list before but it will be now. Whilst I didn't hear any construction noise, a guest did tell me their airconditioning didn't work for a few days. Not sure why this wasn't sorted out quickly.

Overall, I found the minor problems for me that did crop up (loud guests, small pool) seem to dissolve with the ambience of the place and the well trained staff (not perfect but they try very hard). Oh I wish I had more time to stay here than my 3 nights!!! But, maybe repeated views of that sunset just gets a bit boring.
