My Wife and I spent the first 2 weeks of December at the Amari Vogue Krabi to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary. It was brilliant ! Everything was excellent, the room ( the bed was massive !! ) the service , the food , the pools, the beach , the staff from the top down were all very friendly and very smiley giving the impression of a very happy workforce. From the minute we arrived to the minute we left we were made to feel very special. All in all a great holiday and we'd like to thank Michael , Benjamin and all the staff personally, Thanks Shaun & Deb

We stayed here for 4 nights as part of our honeymoon to Southeast Asia in December. There were many positive aspects about this hotel, but I agree with many reviewers who say this is not a luxury resort. We couldn't exactly put our finger on it, but it does not deserve a 5 star rating. I think most of it had to do with the service and ambiance. While we found the bar and restaurant staff friendly, we didn't find them particularly helpful or willing to go above and beyond to make our stay relaxing (we had to flag someone down anytime we wanted to order anything). This was especially true in the case of the front desk staff. We were trying to discuss some excursion options to different islands and they just didn't seem very enthusiastic or excited to help us. Another guest overheard our frustration and ended up giving us some of his recommendations. We chalked it up to the language barrier, but for a hotel with this star level, we expected the front desk staff to be able to help us more. Just a note about the ambiance - out of the four nights we stayed here they had live music twice, which wasn't even very good. We would have loved great live music/entertainment EVERY night during happy hour and dinner. Also just another suggestion would be to redo the outdoor patio and add in some lounge chairs and beds for guests to relax on during sunset (rather than just standard chairs and tables). Our room was a little dated as well. Lastly, the shuttle was convenient (we took it back one afternoon from Ao Nang) but there is no morning shuttle which would have been very helpful.

Pros - food was fantastic, nice grounds, the beach was so clean and beautiful (very small, but after going to the other big public beaches we needed time to relax), cheap drinks at happy hour, spa was inexpensive but we had great thai massages.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but for the price, there is nothing that is drawing us to come back here.

I stayed in Amari Vogue 10 nights in December and I can honestly say it was the best vacation of my life. Hotel really provides everything you need to make your time perfect.
Rooms are spacious and very clean, had the biggest bed I've ever seen. Bathroom is also big with both bath and shower. There are few pools with elephant figures which are really nice and the beach has magnifique view. It is never crowded and never loud so you feel really peacefully and relaxed.
We enjoyed trips booked in the reception however on the boats are always about 20 people. The best trip we had was from hotels beach - I really recommend.
Hotel is localised several minutes drive from Ao Nang but it provides free bus two times a day. The only thing is that you have to book the bus earlier as it can take only 10 people. After few hours in quite noisy Ao Nang you really apprieciate going back to calm Amari.
Every afternoon we were receiveing to our room some biscuits which was really nice, also by the pool every day were receiving some ice cream etc.Happy hour with wonderful sunset was perfect time in the afternoon ;) in the morning you can enjoy fish feeding :)
The staff is really polite and helpfull.
One day I lost my wallet by the pool during happy hour what I realised in the morning when the Manager Michael gave it back to me, someone from the staff found it and gave back.
This place is a real PARADISE :)

We stayed with two teenage kids for 5 nights between 20th and 25th of December.

Overall, we found this resort a great boutique hotel to unwind for 3-5 nights. Since the location is rather remote, staying longer might be a bit dull. Hotel is located next to a very nice beach with a fantastic pool. Waiting for sunset during happy hour is definitely a highlight of the stay. The only thing that I would recommend to the management would be to bring down the sun unmbrellas that block the sunset view. Both restaurants are excellent, although the ambiance of the Thai restaurant is lacking. Breakfast is good, but we would not rate it with 5 stars. The gym is small and stuffy, but sufficient to stay in shape. The spa is small, but very inviting.

The rooms are spacious and nicely designed, maybe a touch worn out.

The national park is a 600m walk from the hotel, not really recommended for folks out of shape or smaller children, but rewards those who complete the 3.7km hike with a great view from the top.

The clientele is mixed, the staff very friendly.

We would recommend Vogue Amari to anyone in need of rest and relaxation for 3-5 days. We really enjoyed it.

We spent a couple of days in Ao Nang, and on the 3rd day, we checked in into Amari Vogue. We made a last mintue request to have a shuttle bus to pick up us from Ao Nang to Amari Vogue. Special mention to Ms Aekalak, who responed promptly to our last minute request which made our transfer from Ao Nang to Amari Vogue with such convenience and ease.

Upon reaching Amari Vogue, we were greeted by really friendly staff. Checking in was fast, and hassle free and we were given free upgrade to a jacuzzi room. Room was nicely furnished, and the view from the balcony was breathtaking. Relaxing in the jacuzzi with an awesome view right in front of me was just heavenly.

A few steps down, the private beach offers a great place to chill and sun tan. The place is just so tranquil and serene. A perfect place to relax and get away from the bustling city life. Food in Bellini was great, pizza is a must try. Just remember to make a booking in advance to ensure you have the perfect view for the sunset while having dinner in Bellini.

Breakfast buffet was great, with a wide spread of choices. You can even make your own fruit juice. Michael is always there in the morning breakfast to greet the guest, which was really nice.

There isnt any shops or eatery outside the hotel (i was told the nearest convient store is 5km away). So if you are into shopping and partying, I would suggest you spend a few days in Ao Nang first. Amari Vogue offer 2 x daily bus shuttle service to Ao Nang, and do remember to book in advance too.

Although there isnt anything outside of the hotel, the hotel itself do have activities like fruit carving, Yoga, volleyball, kayaking etc. There is a national park just beside the hotel. We took almost 4 hours to hike to the peak and back to the hotel. It was tough! The terrain was undulating and the slopes were steep during part of the hike. The greatest reward was the spectacular view right at the top of the peak. You can see beautiful limestones, with clouds just floating right on top of it. During our hike, we did not see much people. Just one group of locals who were on their way down. Remember to bring lots of water, and do not get off the trail. The national park is not really big, but it is not small either. End of the day, it was a great fun and a great sense of achievment.

All in all, if you are looking for a place to rejuvenate and recharge. Amari Vogue is certainly the right place to be.

Room Tip: I think all the rooms offers a great sea view.

We stayed for 6 nights 23 november 2013 from moment we arrived we knew we would have a relaxing time and be spoilt. Booking in very quick just in time for happy hour cocktails watvhing the first sunset in many days as had been quite a bit rain and cloud. Food in both restaurants was veryhigh standard. We loved breakfast as had so much choice. We used to fed carp each morning with fish food provided by hotel. The rooms very lovely, clean, massive bath and huge comfy bed so quiet. Used to get fresh milk from restaurants for cups of tea in our room. Lunch by the sea was very good, staff very polite at all times. Towards end of our stay we noticed people putting towels on beach beds about 9am and some did not come back to them for hours. The staff tried to kep on top of this. The pools were fab just the job when you need cooling off. The statues around the pool the were impressive, as well as the surrounding grassed areas. Lots of steps up and down to beach reastaurant so not for everyone. Beach is clean and water crystal clear. Would love to stay here again.

We had booked a Grand Deluxe Jacuzzi room, and upon arrival were upgraded to the ocean/pool facing Spa Suite with private massage parlor within the Breeze Spa. At first we thought it would not make sense, but it did not go to waste: the spa treatments/massages are excellent, so we actually used the massage parlor a few times. The room décor is very sober, a little dark because of the wood paneling throughout, but undeniably tasteful. The hotel is exquisitely finished – a tad too elaborate, but still, very Thai... The staff is very friendly and attentive, the manager came to greet us in person upon our arrival and departure. Nice touches: chilled water at the beach, ice cream in the middle of the morning, fruit skewers – all complimentary – turndown service left a small treat every evening. As for food, although breakfast was good, the Thai food at same restaurant was disappointing. We found the Bellini restaurant close to the beach more to our liking. Actually, we did not find the restaurants as expensive as we were expecting, given other reviews we had read before going. The beach is not wonderful (but Amari Vogue seems to be right on the best spot, compared to the – some, plushier – hotels further down south, where the beach is either too rocky or virtually non-existent), but good enough. It does get a little crowded at times, when there are not enough sun loungers. Still, the sight of the islands across the bay is breathtaking – beautiful sunsets. All in all, an amazing stay. We would certainly recommend Amari Vogue, and gladly stay at the property again. The one heads-up is that it might not be suitable for the physically challenged, as there are several flights of stairs from the rooms to the beach and/or restaurants, and we are not sure there are accessible paths – at least, we did not notice any.
